Excuse me guys, I haven't tried the new fms yet but would like to read up on what you have changed, in detail. Do you have this written down somewhere that I haven't noticed?

(I agree that the Ta-152 H never felt right, mostly because it does not turn more comfortably than the Fw-190s)

There is no such list, and changes compared to what? I dont know which FMs the UP/DBW 190s used previously (stock, Kwiatek's, mix of both, others,...!?) so cant give you a definite answer. And such a list would not be of much use, I dont think that a list with changed FM parameters would say a lot.

What I can (and did) is give you a pack of IL-2Compare compatible performance figures that you can watch and see for yourself!

Which 190 exactly have you tested? The A-5 has been corrected in takeoff weight down from 4200kg (stock) to 4000kg (RL value). The "best" early 190 now arguably is the A-4 as it has the same engine but is 50kg lighter (early non-lenghtened engine install)

I flew (only few times- take off, familiarisation flight, landing, dogfight) FW190-A4. I saw increase in thrust/power to weight, it changed how the plane climbs, handles and how it recovers E and/or from near stalls (imho).

You cannot really argue that the FW190 has become a turn fighter, it will still be outturned by anything except the largest fighters such as the P-38

Since DBW is offline, I can only comment that I turned-turned-turned and locked on six of ace AI Spits and shot them down. With previous 190 FM such thing is harder to do.

But, you cant please us all, so dont worry about it!  ;) I'm very happy that we have a choice of buttons files, so it's all good. :)

@Karaya, Do you mean to say that you made the fms from scratch?

Thanks, I'm comparing your Fw-190D's performance figures with those of the Oleg version, and yours seems to be more accurate to me. In particular, comparing the two 1944 versions, yours has a more or less correct top speed (around 680 km/h) where the original was quite a bit too fast(720km/h). This should remedy the situation where the Fw-190D held almost all the cards agains the P-51, which of course was not the case in reality.

I don't know why that wasn't fixed ages ago.

But again judging from your above video the AI Spitfires were not flying anywhere near their performance maximum. Try again at higher altitudes instead of near the deck, the AI seems to be reluctant to make tight turns near mother earth. And as already said the AI is not a very good starting point for a comparison.

I can routinely outturn Yak-3s in the Bf109K-4 with a little patience near the deck yet I do not believe the latter to be more maneuvrable, any human pilot would run me over in that sort of fight with ease.

I'm sorry that you do not like these new FMs :(

I havent made them entirely from scratch, as said the polares have been taken from the A-4 but the engines have been completely remodelled plus of course some fiddling around with drag to get the correct speeds for each version.
