This is a plane i would die for! One of two Canadian aircraft i could see in IL-2 1956.

Avro Canada CF-100 Canuck
The first and last pure Canadian fighter to enter true production.









The CF-100 was a Fighter Interceptor for both the Royal Canadian Air Force and Belgian Air Force. The CF-100 was Straight-Winged, stable, derible. On 18 December 1952, S/L Janusz Zurakowski, the Avro company chief development test pilot, took the CF-100 Mk 4 prototype to Mach 1.0 in a dive from 30,000 ft. being the first straight-winged jet aircraft to achieve controlled supersonic flight.

What's odd about it? It was common on early 50's jet fighters.

Not sure if this is true but i heard the only reason the CF-100 retired was because they ran out of spare parts for the airframe or something like that.

Also added Mk.1,2 and 3 specs.

(The 50. cals were located between the front of the engines under the fuselage, below the pilot and navigator)
