English Electric Lightning
« on: July 22, 2011, 11:12:20 AM »

It is the only all-British Mach 2 fighter aircraft. The aircraft was renowned for its capabilities as an interceptor; RAF pilots described it as "being saddled to a skyrocket".   I hope if worked on at somepoint the guns get modelled correctly out of line with aircraft horizontal datum - like a british version of 'swing music' for aden vs. bombers - very very dangerous to aim at ground targets..
One of the fastest accelerating aircraft, with one of the shortest combat ranges ever accepted for service, makes the Bf.109 feel long legged. Hydraulic damagings on this 'plumbers nightmare' could be fun, and if with a fuel leak... eek!

Hawker Hunters been in internal beta testing with Aviator Mod Team for a while. Work was halted to focus on the rest of the jet pack. They have been converted to 4.101m and some further work has been done. Hopefully we will see it out this year.

Most Emphatically Disagree- the Lightning must surely be one of the ugliest jets ever to see the light of day. Hard to believe that a country that built a real beauty- the Hawker Hunter- was capable of building this monstrosity.........

discussing color, beauty (or lack thereof) taste of beer or sexual preferences are strongly discouraged on this forum...
because these are individual things, and can not be agreed upon.

i suggest you either get a room... or agree to disagree.

Or start bashing each others head in. the most fun option of all.
