I have now updated one of my old campaigns to 4.101 and DBW standards: "Fighter Boys"!



For those of you who haven't tried it I can tell you that "Fighter Boys" is a semi-historical, 14-mission static campaign,
set in August 1940, portraying the fighting in the air that month during the Battle of Britain. You are a new pilot sent to replace those killed during the July fighting.

The Spitfire Squadron in the campaign is a sort of composite of several 1940 RAF Squadrons. All missions
(except the first one) are based on history in some way, and follows the action of the actual day. (I have also tried
to follow the actual weather.) Many involve MASSIVE aerial fights, some with 90+ aircraft in the air at the
same time.

I'm running UP RC1.4 & DBW 1.3. In mission 1 i get a message: "missing paratrooper.mesh-something" and in mission 2 a crash to desktop. When i start the missions in FMB they all work. Any ideas?

Yes, this is a well-known bug in IL-2. And it's easy to fix. See here:

Can't get it to go past 96 -97% after I hit fly then it CT activator when in DBW. It does work fine in UP 3 though.
any clues old m8 ?
PS, I have the same probs with siege of malta campaign  in DBW and the "1940_The_Battle_of_Britain" UP 3 work fine. no go in DBW or SAS modact 3 when activated. what am I doing wrong ????

Ive always wondered. In his rambling book herr Hitler was focused on the East for expansion.
So I guess he wanted to shoot up the RAF & the BEF to the point his back was covered, so to speak,
for his real intentions in the East right?

I read that barges were collected along the Channel to spook the English into thinking he was actually
going to attempt to cross the channel with his army.
