Color Chart
« on: July 28, 2011, 06:47:26 PM »

I'm currently working on creating a Massive Color Chart that will encompass all the Colors and their information in one single spreadsheet. This will have every single country I can find information on. :) I currently have a 'Beta' of the German Paint Colors completed, here is a screen shot. What do you guys think? Should I keep going? I'm halfway through the United States Colors. :P

WARNING: DO NOT USE THE SCREENSHOT, IT IS 8Bit and so it loses it's true color!!! I will upload all of them in 32Bit color at once!

Air Forces that are, as of 0055 Hours EST, Completed on the Chart:
-Luftwaffe
-USAAC/USAF
-USN

-VVS
-IJN/IJA

Tomorrow when I get around to it, I will start off with the RAF.

The actual release will be under the 'Skinshop' Forum

Excellent idea. As a skinner, I find it a pain to search multiple websites, templates etc.
Thanks for taking the time to be so thorough for the rest of us  :)

No problem, I'm new, so I want to contribute and give back where I've received so much from this community :)

Great idea! But be careful where you look for Lufwaffe's RLM colors, there are many sources over the net and most of them are mistaken...

Once I've finished them all, it'll be open to contributions :) As in fixes, additions, and research fixes. Like the years of use for a lot of them is nonexistant. Also, yes, as of right now Simmerspaintshop has been the only one because it has had the most info in the same format. After I finish the 'Beta' I will begin work to find all the missing information where all those pretty gray *'s are lol

84 is a throw back to the old research of the 60's and 70's, it was a mystery colour which they labeled 84 its since been found to be a later poor pigmented 76.
(Much like Merricks mistake in swapping 82 and 83 still catches people out today)

On an interesting sidenote Jery Crandells section on RLM colours in 'Focke Wulf Dora vol 2' says the only colour that had the name RLM attached to it was RLM02 the rest were simply the number without the RLM attached
