Beautiful addon...

I think.

Because I've the same problem as lebig.

My error suggests Pablo's program is not compatible with Win7/64.

Any suggestions, sirs?

I tried the manual version: no joy.

Pierre,
it seems that it's a French problem. I'm usign Wint7 / 64 bit and it works flawlessly.

Do you have Bitdefender too? If that's the case you should exclude the Il-2 folder from analysis.

Check what I suggested to him, this is an extended troubleshooting list:

-Is the il2fbPAL.dll present in your Il-2 main folder?
-If you click the right button / properties in the il2fb.exe is it a 180Kb one with date and time corresponding to the moment when you activated the Total MODder?
-The user you use to run the Windows is a milited or Administrator one?
-Is your Il-2 Folder inside Program Files?

  Regards,
                         Pablo

Pablo
I had tried all the exclu for Bit defender, no result.
I D/L the manual install, copy paste instead of the automatic folders and files, and that's work! No more warning message from Bit Def, and the game is launching .... but in russian!!
I have the il2fb.mod empty!
But I think it is my fault, I am working on my architecture.
Thanks, I keep you up for experience.

Hi Pablo,

Your tool is a great improvement compared to JSGME.

But I can't make it work on my install. I have downloaded and install the "manual install version", it only works if I choose the "stock" profile (a profile whith no mod activated). If I try to launch the Histomod pack, IL2 doesn't launch .

I usually play in V4.09 + UP2.01+Histomod, may be MODder was build to work only with 4.10 and UP3 ?

Antagorn,
I never used it with 4.09m but it should work as well. General guidelines in that case (I mean when you don't use any of the big packs for 4.10 wich are more "standard"):

1-Create a folder to be you MODding repository (i.e. use former jsgmemods or new MyMODS to say something).

2-Inside this main Folder create one called "Activator" or "UP201Activator" or whatever.

3-Inside the Activator Folder copy the extracted Files and MODS folders from the 2.7 or whatever version you used to activate your game.

3b-You can use your current "Files" and "MODS" exactly as they are right now but the idea is that later you move the contents present at MODS to the Folder created in step 1 to have control over them.

4-Inside the Total MODder, configure your Il-2 main folder and the folder defined or created in Step 1. You will see listed in the left window at least (more things if it was the jsgmemods) the folder created in Step 2. Add that folder to your profile as the base position (the next MODs you add, add them always in top of it)

5-Activate the profile and the basic game should work. Since then, the rest of your MODs can be added.

Basically you should have this next folders (example):

MyMODS\UP201Activator\Files
MyMODS\UP201Activator\MODS

MyMODS as the MODding repository
UP201Activator as the last (and for the while the only) folder listed in the right pane of Total MODder

Regards,
                     Pablo

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation Pablo.
it's works very well now.

I'm sure that most of my teammate will appreciate your  Total MODder.
It's really a big improvement to activate/deactivate mods just by check/uncheck them.

bests regards

I had followed the read me (translate in Fr by Antagorn) and I am like a child in front of a new model car (aircraft?!?).
Amazing tool, activation of an enormous amount of gigas (full HistoMod) in less than 2sec, and game launch in a short time also. I have only one word:

flight test yesterday.  8)

This tool is magic: updates and modifications (the next HistoMod is in beta test phase) are really fast and simple now.
Compared to the 15/20 minutes, at least, needed whith JSGME to deactivate/delete/replace/activate (Histo is a huge Mod ;)), it's another world.
Very easy to set-up and activate several profiles (it's usefull, on "slow" computers, not to activate the whole Histopack).

Thank you very much Benito !!!

Good flights and clear skies to you.
