I'm having a problem, also.
It's not like I'm missing 1 or 2 tga's. It's more like I'm missing all of them...(and I put them in the _tex folder.)

(I changed the clouds, but that didn't help)

I changed a couple of lines to match the textures I had in my _tex folder, [Wood and Appendix], the rest is as per the original I think.

Hi guys,

I can probably help if you can be a bit more specific - like a log error - it sounds like a paths problem because everything you need is in the download; the rest is stuff that should be in everyones' install.

Just in case...on my 4.09 the paths go,
/Mods/Mapmods/Maps/Ra_Tarawa for the map and
/Mods/Mapmods/Maps/_tex/land/summer/Ra_Ta for the textures and
/Mods/Mapmods/Maps/_tex/Trees for the treefile

Just a little request that I have anyway overcomed by myself....can you add more water around?

The recce flights from Tarawa can't work well and the attack run is too short due too limited water around the island....we must remember that other than the invasion Tarawa was bombed a couple of times in the USN carrier raids around the Pacific....

walter - I don't like too much water myself! Flying the north-south axis works for me..but you make a valid point.

I wasn't going to do anymore to this map but if you have a solution/adjustment you think others might want please go ahead and post it.

Hi Ramone. I just found this map yesterday. My computer was dead for seven months so I'm still find things new to me. :) This map is great. The only error I had was in the load.ini and that was clouds 269. I changed to 256 and it loaded just fine. I added my latest shallows texture and I'm loving this map. The ground textures are perfect. Thank you.

That texture looks great - I tried some of your earlier work when I did this map but couldnt get it to look right, but this one looks cool.

Maybe i can offer some help for those who would like more water, i am going to poke my neck out a bit here because i really do not know what i am talking about but i have been recently browsing through Blumax's big pad of hints and tips and map making information that he has on his desk and recall a section under the title  'WATER ' and how to add water to a map in a simple fashion. I do hope that this is correct and please forgive me if it is not but it states ' to add more water add these lines to load ini file beneath MAP 2D section
