GO-229 high nosewheel for DBW users
« on: August 05, 2011, 09:50:21 AM »

back to the roots!

If you are a freak like me (isn't that a song title?) and like the Go-229A nosewheel in the high configuration better than the new low one provided with DBW1.4, here comes your fix:

a great thank you to CirX for delivering the rollback neatly wraped and in a box. I only attached the bow.

Thank you very much for this, I was seeking for a way to restore original large front landing gear for Go 229 A-0.  This is much appreciated!

:)

thanks, does anyone know why it was lowered for DBW? cause if your looking for historical accuracy you'd choose the high configuration, dont think there even was a low configuration in reality as they didnt have time to develop many variants in 1945.

Actually they had to make it high and big due to airframe limitations... not exactly sure what they were.

i think that means it takes most of the stresses and strains of landing/ground movement as its connected to a more structurally strong part of the aircraft, the two back wheels which were i think taken from a bf109 and are connected to a thinner part of the wings so placing a majority of the load on that part would not be advisable. wasnt the nose wheel 'borrowed' from the tail of a he177 as well?
