I had a quick look.
I think you are using LiveAg1 and LiveAg2?

LiveAg1 has 3 lods which appear at up to 40m, 30m (seems wrong) and 100m
I can convert these to text files and give you a Mod to experiment with if you want.

------

Actually when I look again there are 4 lod meshes but only 3 distances specified so the fourth, LOD3 will not appear. Looks like these have been messed up.

------

Ok -- look in your PM's. I've sent you a small mod which seems to fix the problem. Makes the palm trees visible out to 1000m. Affect on fps does not seem to be significant but you should test it to check. Could maybe reduce the LOD3 distance to 800m and not lose much of the visual benefit.

Oh! Could you please send me the mod as well?
I try to add a certain mix of bushes/cacti etc atm to an MTO map (thanks agracier for your tips!) and would love to get bigger drawing distances. In fact, the drawing distance of singular trees and houses is the only showstopper for me when editing missions on modded maps or humbly trying to edit maps themselves.

:)Best greets, carry on Bee! :)

Bump..^Any chance, asheshouse?  :)
ATM I work on a Ifni mod on agracier's great map and such a mod would extremely add to the
functionality of what I originally had in mind. Otherwise nevermind, I think I tend to skip the scrub part.

Regards

Tom

Sorry, Bee, back to your great topic.

Sorry chaps.  Took a bit of a break there.  Just got over a nasty and persistent eye condition that put the brakes on pixel pushing for a while.   Currently improving Vunakanau and will post some pictures of its sodden, bomb strewn plateau.

Bee, this is an awesome undertaking and your work is just amazing! Thank you for it. I have read through the entire thread and have not seen the actual size of the map mentioned anywhere. Can you say how many Kilometers x Kilometers it is? This is just to give an idea of the distances involved. Thanks again Bee.  :)

Hi Razor,
Not sure how large the map is over all in kilometers.  It's 1:1 though and uses the extra miles that Asheshouse kindly added to the east.
The map below shows the overall size.  Also added some scrapbook shots of Vuna'.  Not very nice just yet, but I'm working on it.
Rabaul township is complete. So is Keravat, Rapopo strip and Lakunai.  Green Island, Vuna, Malaguna and Rataval supply areas still need doing.
It's quite a bit of work.  Certainly a lot more finished than there is to go however, so I remain fairly upbeat about it  :)

MapT on the expanded version, with Green Island added, was 2672x2560 pixels, so 534.4x512.0 km
