Tried the Typhoom Mk1a, really like it mate. I also installed the Me262A4, can you tell me what this  mod does please mate? There is no included air.ini entry so i guess it is not a new plane, but i also can not see a difference to any of the standard planes?

There is an ini entry iin one of the earlier posts, but I put it up next to the download. This one is a sexy looking Me-262 with the engines up against the cockpit instead of the wings. one of my "I got bored projects". Nothing really big, but it does really change the looks. ;)

Tried out the typhoonmk1a. It flies and looks good but the skin is kinda weird on the wings. It looks like underside parts of the skin up on the top of the wing. I can't wait for more of these neat planes later on down the road!
It's a work in progress. Model is finished, but the mapping isnt. The reason as to why it looks like that is because it used to be mapped (skinned) to both the Hurricane parts, and the Tempest parts. I'm trying to get it mapped to just the tempest template so maybe it would be easier to skin and we might be able to see more skins for the typhoons.

The p40q freezes if I start a mission with it...Something wrong with the cockpit ??

Tried the XB-29, entered the air.ini,weapons_ru.properties and plane_ru.properties into the relavant files.

When i try and launch a mission though the weapons slot in the QMB is empty (does not show default or any entries) and when the game starts it defaults to the previous loaded plane not the XB-29.

Any ideas mate?

Thats a classfile error, those I still have and can see, but not edit. You really dont need to add the weapons.ru or plane.ru. those are only used if you want to change names of the plane or weapons. try deleting those and see what comes up. If the same problem happens, then it's something to do with the classfile which I still have for when I do get my new tower.

To anyone else having problems, I cant help you unless you tell me what version of IL2 you're running and if your on UP, DBW, or modact. I know that some of these can cause problems alone (not trash talking any of these here guys ;)) But normally it's my end because these are a work in progress, which means that they will have some issues here and there.

I'm using the 12 guns quite often but since I fly only against the skin is less noticiable....

I know someone here made the wings for this type of plane, but I started this so that we all could have something to skin until those new tiffy parts were done.If someone was to take the parts that were from the hurricane (12 gun) and map it to the tempest skin, then they could use the parts on the other typhoons and have it easier to skin. The parts used already had gun hooks in place from the hurricanes 1-4 and 5-8 on the wings, so in theory....these wings could replace the parts on the other tiffies without causing any weapon conflicts.

All in all, I like this plane too. once you lock on to your target, or a target crosses you bullet paths, those twelve .303s really do some damage on a short burst. :D

I run 4.101m SAS modact 3.  The P-40 P and Q seem to work fine (and the P model matched an Hs-123 pretty much turn for turn), and so does the two B-25s.
But, you were sure right about the PBJ.  She locked up QMB the moment I F2.
And, lordy, that 262 with the fuselage snug engines would be super sexy if the engines were somehow enclosed in the wing root. Darn nifty as it is. ;D ;D

Thanks. Glad you like. I know the PBJs issue is the cockpits (one of them), and the super sexy 262 (now the SS-262) will have those engines fixed when looking around from the inside. I am planning on making an HG version unless someone beats me to it :D

The only part used from other planes is the P-51 canopy and the inside cockpit. I did a crappy job of bringing that rear fairing down, but that will be fixed. You can use the P-40M (or if your not to picky, P-40Es too) skins on this, but the plane has to be remapped after fixing some 3D, so in the meantime, it will have that squishing effect in some areas of the plane.
