The Hiermesh Turn 8, as highlighted in red could pose a bigger problem..

The clamped sprites are like Santobr said; effects mod that is not properly configured, but the IL2 engine does'nt really make a problem out of that.

Yes they were. In fact, the Lexington II was painted in all blue during her war time service and was reported sunk I think 4 times by the Japanese, only to reappear later on in a different battle. This is not the Lexington we have in game, but an Essex class CV.

While the paint schemes of Naval aircraft might not have had a lot of variance, the ships sure did. I went to look up the paint scheme of my grandfathers destroyer (Fletcher class DD-652 USS Ingersoll) and found it carried at least two, and perhaps three different paint schemes during WWII alone, not including her time during the Korean and Vietnam wars!!!  The inter-war navy was not one for humble service units, just look at the gaudy paint jobs on the aircraft during the 30s, the skins included for the TBD are an outstanding example!!!

Yes! -Optional U.S. navy gray paint also would be great! 

Blue "camouflage" paint scheme is correct for USN BB's at Pearl Harbour in Dec 41.
There is some debate about the colour of the main turret tops but the blue for the hull is documented.
Plain grey I think may apply in early 41, before the wartime paint scheme was implemented.

THX for the info!    Honestly - I'm not an expert in the field of  U.S. Navy skips camouflage during the initial period of War in the Pacyfic.
Inspired by some photos I thought that they are painted in more or less something like light blue-gray camouflage...
