Hello all, here is the link to the skin of Walrus L 2190.

EDIT: Link removed see later post for new link to skin pack.

Aluminium dope blank also included.

In game Royal Navy insignia.

Not had much time to work on the skins during the week, still need colour details for
cammy versions, hopefully I will find time this weekend to have a go at some. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Thank you very much for that Slipper, helps tremendously. 8)  I have some of the schemes in a book called Supermarine Walrus and Stranraer by James Kightly and Roger Wallsgrove, one of the Mushroom models publications, unfortunately the colour information was very vague.  The choice of colours I was going to use was Extra Dark Sea Grey, Dark Slate Grey, and Sky, but looking at some of the illustrations I had it appeared some could possibly be something like Ocean Grey, Dark Green and Sky.
The information in the publication you sent actually gives specific colours for each aircraft so now I can finally proceed.  Already created two main layers last night but used Ocean Grey as the Base with Sky unders, so now I can change that and get on with the disruptive part of the scheme as well, the colour issue has been holding things up all week. :(

Again thank you very much.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

I think at this time also a little arranged textures can be  to help make this model
most realistic and playable, since the structure seems really excellent and very accurate. I copied and pasted  parts of a "IMME" MBR2 beautiful skin  and I think he will forgive me for this theft ..
Here are the links and good flight ..

Thats brilliant Ranwers, combined with CY6's Command And Control 2.0 you can set up some realistic scenarios now, heres an excerpt from the C&C 2.0 regards the SAR object.

Code: [Select]
SAR
The waterborne version of RESCAP, the SAR object represents a downed pilot
at sea, complete with lookouts. Intended for seaplane operations.
- How it works: The player will get a message giving the map-grid position
of the downed airman, until the player is within 10km. When within ~2000m
of the airman, the player's "crew" will call out sightings in "o'clock"
directions.
- When the (friendly) player gets within range, the airman will "pop smoke"
during the day, and light a flare at night.
- The player should then land and taxi to within 200m of the dinghy, at
which point the crew will announce a pickup and the dinghy will dissapear.
Any plane or helicopter can be used to perform the pickup, but the player
must be travelling slowly.
SARDelay (time in minutes before SAR begins broadcasting)

It really is a superb mod, i urge you allto give it a go.

First I've heard of the mod you mention Slipper, must give it a go. ;)

Skin WIP a generic blank for the Walrus, lower wings carry the shadow shading scheme.

Just make sure that you don't touch any of those guys when you taxi up to them or you will explode just as if you taxied into a building!  ???

Another nice touch for that kind of mission, which we use, is a "flare"(red light) being held up by the pilot sitting in his raft as well as a little smoke coming off of it.  ;)

A lot of awesome skins being done!Classes for retractable gear are beyond my scope at
the moment.Perhaps it is time for a true amphibian?

Hello tedeschene, there has been a lot of trials going on with amphibians, I'm sure it will be done eventually.  It was a shame Ashehouses didn't release his Walrus, to me it would have been better to have the aircraft available even if it didn't behave as an amphibian, but there you go that is the modders choice. ;)

Thankfully you, RealDarko, Epervier and the rest of the team have given us this little beauty to remedy the ommision of this type in the sim. 8)

Walrus generic camouflage shadow shade scheme blank.

EDIT: Link removed see later post for link to skin pack.

Over Valetta harbour.
