Hawk III Frankenplane.
« on: August 19, 2011, 03:25:56 AM »

After tons of work on the plane, designing the features it need to have, skins, Fm, etc... Finally here it is! the Hawk III frankenplane for all the Sino-Japanese war buffs. Plane came with both 4.09 and 4.10 slots and a fantastic static plane to bomb Chinese airbases with your Japanese light bombers :D I want to thank Epervier by his outstanding efforts on slot and FM, Melissa by doing the main part of the 3d edition and that was a huge task, also Ranwers, Ton and Archie by some 3d details that rounded the final product and finally Hayate by the amazing skins for this bird!! A no markings skin is included in the download together a couple of USN skins al by Michel Meilland.
Well, no more words, hope you guys like it.

Thanks to ton414 from Freeil2modding we have now a better 3d model with solved hole!!

And some pics.

Enjoy!

The new version of the plane came with a better 3d shape and no engine cover courtesy of Ranwers and Archie!!

I'm really sorry!  :-[
RealDarko is a bad boy!  :P
He never gives me the name of the co-authors!
Result, the readme of this aircraft does not mention all the authors!
RealDarko, we will have to develop a procedure to ensure that all authors are cited in other aircraft being manufactured! ;)

yes, RD, it's vital to credit wherever possible. let's hope it can be resolved quickly.
now for a question:
is it just me, but when i go into gunsight mode (Shift+F1) it looks like it is too far zoomed out, and the target is a distant speck....
i can post a screenie, if necessary, if it is isolated...
ok, screenshot:

i have Twister's POV padlock mod, possibly a conflict? anyone else with this?

other than that, all seems to check out nicely, and i had a real blast taking on a few Sally bombers with this plane! great fun!  8) ;D

You have a problem ...  :-[

This Hawk use old (4.09) cockpit I-15bis !
To mark a difference from the cockpit (4.10) I-15bis !
But it is RealDarko decide!

RealDarko,

Is this plane intended to work in Dark Blue World? If so, are any adjustments to the installation instructions as given required?

Cheers,
