Playing IL-2 on Intel Cards...
« on: August 20, 2011, 07:33:30 AM »

Hi there guys :), I was wondering how many of you play IL-2 on an integrated graphics solution (Can be Intel or AMD) and also have a few questions or rather problems concerning this:

My HD3000 is far better than my GeForce 7800, scoring 4300 3dMark06 Points compared to the 2900 of my Nvidia 8). But being a rather old Game IL-2 doesn't seem to "appreciate" this, if you know what I mean. ;D

In OpenGL Mode I can't set Landscape to Perfect, I can do this Nvidia tho.  Also, when I try to set Water higher than 1 or Forest to 3 in my conf.ini it will simply put it back to 1, regardless of what I do or which mode I set it to (DirectX or OpenGL). :'(

Another problem would be Anti-Aliasing: Normally if you want this in IL-2 you would go to your graphics cards control panel and set it to whatever value you want there. However, my Panel only allows me to set AF! :'( It's not like the HD3000 can't cope with AA.

In Race Driver GRID for example I get very good Framerates on medium settings and 2xMSAA. A third-party Control Panel might fix this issue but I haven't had any luck finding something like this. Perhaps one of you guys might be able to help me out a little. ;D
