I love this plane
it as a great addition to the game
thank a lot

but strangely my amperometer and my Oil/ wings tank indicators are Off
and the manifold pressure/rmp indicators give some wrong thing (at power 100% I have 70inch and 3600rpm, while at military power it is 52inch and 2700rpm) :(

Just got to install this lovely bird. Thank you for the hard work from who made her. I noticed only one bug. When I got shot up a bit and opened the canopy the bullett holes are still there as if it were closed. Other than that, its great. Thank you again. :)

One small request?

Can we please have a clean loadout, with guns only, no racks or rails?

Without the drag, I'm thinking it might be fast around pylons.

Dude: get real, this is IL2 -a GAME-, you will win NO speed by removing a rivet (just to put an example). Drag is not directly represented (or not at all) in a game: you do NOT have wind, you do NOT have real air through which REAL shapes are movign through under REAL physical circumstances.

If I remember well, the 0-length tocket racks are on the hier.him file which means that you don't have ANY extra drag nor ANY extra weight by them, as to the bomb racks they are standard, I am NOT removing them and they are in the 3d model, so no difference whatsoever if you remove them or if you make them ten times bigger.

Also, where to get appropriate data as to how much "drag" I am supposed to expect for a given rack? Sorry, it is unrealistic to expect from us a "micrometric" adjustment of fligthmodels.

This said, FM is still a "stand-in" where only general dimensions, weigth and horsepower are taken from "the book", but no real testing/adjustment has ever been done. Even more: we simply do NOT know for sure how IL2 dynamics work. No one has ever seriously undertaken such a study.

No, no, no, Crazyflak. I have noticed highly polished, "clean" skins fly a little faster than dirty skins with chipped paint because of reduced wind resistance. I have now decided to fly only very polished, shiny skinned planes to get a tactical advantage over my opponents. ;)

As for cleaning up the wing on your Thunderbolt, had the math for revised performance numbers been over your head, I would have done the calculations for ya', no sweat.

Besides, I need to study the checklist, and devise some cockpit flows for DCS: P-51D Mustang, which I purchased/downloaded yesterday.

So, I really can't be bothered to fiddle with that unrealistic POS that you cobbled together, anyway.

You see that "maintenance panel" with a Handle?
its called a door.
you need me to write a checklict how you can use that door?

The only thing i can advise is to be at Vne speed at ground level, so that said maintenance panel does not hit you in the ass.
