..the plane of CY6 has inside templates from 4 different planes to compose the textures of his P-61. I think I can regognize an A-20 one there, but there are others that I really don't know which ones are.

Ouch! No template-build for me then, just don't have the time. Thank you for the info Pablo.

Cranky.1 is working on the skin right now and he may be able to send you a template...

I think I bitten off more then I can chew. the artwork shows up in three places e.g. the nose twice & the rear of the plane.
I will still have a go at it.

There's no template, I used a modified A-20 skin for the fuselage and wings. The tailbooms are from the Fw-189, and use a separate .tga inside the a/c folder.

If you look at the 3do plane folder you'll see that there are more than 4 tga files group each one cover a portion of the skin....like the Tiger Moth it isn't easily skinnable nor a template can be done easily too!!!

Some modification can be anyway done and I guarantee you that if I'll do them like the T.M. I'll share with all you!!!

All the best at all and a special GREAT THANKS to Checkyersix!!!

Many thanks to Checkyersix for the interesting plane!

Maybe somebody could be interested to make the 4x12.7mm turret rotatable? It would be a powerful and accurate defensive armament as the Central fire control for the gun turret was similar to that used on the B-29, the General Electric GE2CFR12A3.
...
Also from wiki:
P-61B-25   Turret automatically aimed and fired by the APG-1 gun-laying radar connected to an analogue computer; six built.
(i.e. the shooting should be still rather accurate while P-61 and/or its target maneuvering)

Or maybe transfer the turret from B-29?... :)

It isn't difficult to implement the code for the turret itself, the problem is to make available the cockpit at the second level, because for the pilot the A20 is being used and it fits very well, but for the next position you need a visual including the lower cockpit and you need more or less some quality to respect the style of the first cockpit. The radar operator was able to shut with it too, and so the 3rd cockpit should be implemented too.

Some time ago somebody posted at SAS this wonderful video that clearly depicts how many things a pilot of such an "advanced plane for the time" ned to have on mind, and it's amazing:

The first one is quite OK:

 or:

Second one:

As you can see the second cockpit had the stick for the gunner, and it was different to the one of the pilot.

3rd one:

If just the turret made rotating and shooting by AI (as Me-210,410 do for many years already) it would be a large step forward. Next step could be human-gunner cockpit.

I think that a franken cockpit between a Bewfighter and the A-20 would do just fine :D
