The purpose was precisely : not to put EVERYTHING but keep only what's needed (the places where players take off and land) ... and also allow mission makers to change things if wanted ?
Also : depending on the mission, an airfield may be populated (for example) with US army vehicles (Jeep) or german ones (Kübelwagen). Nothing can be done with objects included within actors.static !
Also : a vehicle inside actors.static can't be red or blue and has no value regarding mission events ans stats, no ?
Also : objects inside actors.static aren't taken in account for MDS features (I'm talking about radar buildings, fuel tanks, workshops and ammunition boxes).
