- HA-1112-M1L Buchón, C.4K-154, 71e Escuadron, Torrejon, Spain, 1965.





- HA-1112-M1L Buchón, C.4K-32, 71e Escuadron, El Aaiun, Moroco, 1963. The finish is natural metal upper surfaces and azure blue undersides, with a dark-green anti-dazzle panel. The spinner is split yellow and black. An alternative unit badge appears on the nose.

Green scheme for 71-5 is false, some authors fantasy.

Exactly that I mean, thank you. Numbers are correct, they are from well known photographs in El Aaiun, but that are B&W. Aircraft show an aparently "camouflaged" style, but it've been always suspected that wasn't but worn original blue paint. That photograph is the probe of that, although some people still want to see there a sort of weird camouflage.


So, original Blue...




Worn by desert blue. Keep in mind also probably blue wasn't any kind of aeronautical paint, so it had very poor durability. That's not green (green came from a french publish looking at B&W photographs), that's not any camouflage. May be some patches of fresh blue in critically damaged areas were applied. Also keep in mind blue was so worn that some of the pilots actually flew those aircraft say they were "grey" ??? (but no green reference), really just badly worn blue...
