Does anyone know how to get the canopy, on the P-51B & C to open? I've seen them open on the A & D but not the B & C. Also there's the opening canopy on the P-40s but not the P-51 B & C. Any help appreciated.

Routine questions, need routine answers... game version? HSFX UP DBW... 2,1 or 3,0... RC? Old AAA mod cockpits?
DBW 1,6:

all warhawks, british or not, open canopies. inside and out. what gives?
mustang A: only opens in the rear mirror when inside. the frame itself does not move. opens completely outside.
B 10: nothing.
B NA: nothing.
C NT: nothing
D5 NT: nothing
D20 NT: inside, outside.
D25 NA: both
D30 NA: both
F-51 D30NA outside
Mk I: mirror, outside.
Mk. III nothing.

Like SAS~Storebror's P-47 ordance mod, this would be for "offline only". 4.10.1. AAA's P-51D Pak has opening canopies, be nice to see them for, P-51B & C, as well, if possible.

The mustang pack from AAA does not open canopies on stock Mustangs, including 20-NA and 5-NT D model Mustangs.

Again the only reason for this is just online compatibility. Otherwise to make them open is a 2 minute job each pretty much.

Well, I would join the que for that mod- never mind the online compatability. Used to have opening canopies for Fw190's, Yaks and Laggs and more besides. I play through UP3 RC4 now (cant get DBW to work for some reason), and the only opening canopies I have are for Bf109's and some of the Spits (apart from the stock ones.). The opening canopy from the Mustang Mk1/P51A should be able to be matched up to the P51B easily- the 'C' model is a Malcolm hood, so slides like the 'D' models. Would love to see the P47's with that ability too, and Im pretty sure one of the modded versions does open (is it the 'N'?).

Anyway, what Im saying is, as a total offline player, I would like opening canopies on all aircraft!

Oh and btw when I said it was a quick few minute job that's only if you want it to work externally. Internally is a whole new matter, a job that could take up to an hour or two per cockpit and then still for some odd reason not work as I found with the P-47D cockpit a while back.

Can not you adjust the cockpit of the aircraft p47d 30-40 stock and change the java class?
