Hey Wind,

Do you have any reason why DBW 1916 would CTD at 60% after I added 2 campaigns designed for WWI?  The campaigns contained no files that would compromise the clean vanilla install nor were there additional maps or aircraft that needed to be added to the GME packs. The campaigns came with skins, but those were extracted to the game's paintschemes.

Thanks,
lyteyr

hmmm, when running DBW 1916 it is necessary to choose that option in the SAS selector.  Likely I would recommend disabling, at minimum, the Air and Static packs prior to running 1916.  If you still have crashes, then disable all the MOD packs to see if it will work.  Main thing is that these packs were tested for DBW 1.7.1 only and not 1916.

Great , I´ll give it a try soon!!!

Thanx

I have been reading all posts pertaining to this mod, sounds very exciting. Congrats!
I would like to give it a test try.
Only one problem, the download is at GameFront, and recently my PC at home and at work, cannot
download anything from that website. I don´t know why. It just freezes up while trying to open the site.
Must be infected with something.
Any way to upload them from some place else? Mediafire perhaps?

Yea, have heard issues regarding gamefront, though this host is the only one I have found thus far for large files free (over 200mb).  Unfortunately, some of the packs are quite large though this equates to some killer content!  I have heard that firefox works better with GameFront then IE.  Overall, firefox is quite a nice browser too, and worthy alternative to IE.  Perhaps that may be the answer.

If someone knows of a host which supports large content and is reliable and free, please post.

Wind, see if you can post it at Mission for Today's website, they are hosting mods now.  Maybe you can put it on there for awhile.

Agreed. I've found that changing to Firefox or Google Chrome often solves downloading issues that many experience with IE.

Hey Wind,

I hope you can help me resolve this new problem.

I downloaded and installed the Sopwith Camel v1.0 mod from M4T into the #DBW_MOD_Aircraft folder with the required text add ons into STD, after deactivating in GME.  After reactivating the folder, and starting the game I get the following error message at 20%:

The instruction at "0x09a91147" referenced memory at "0x0dbc7d70".  The memory could not be read.  Click ok to terminate the program.  Prior to this, the game was working fine.

Cheers,

You should always try the new aircraft in a clean #DBW install, just in case there is a problem with the airplane.  Point of example the Cougar that was released was missing a texture, and did not work in any kind of install, clean or with Aircraft jsgme enabled.  And if I remember correctly on that thread people were talking about the Camel not working because of a missing file due to certain download sites, I know for a fact that Mission 4 Today's download has all the required files.  Go to your saved DBW 1.7.1 back up file and get the #DBW folder and put a dash - in front of your current #DBW folder, install the Jet War 1.2 mod and then put in the Cougar and see if that works, make the sure the Belt tga is in your F9_Cougar/3do/Plane/Textures. If it still does not work, your download is corrupt.  Once it works stick it in Winds Aircraft jsgme.

Thanks, Hoss.

To quote Narvik from a post on the Sopwith Camel thread, "SOLVED I erroneously put a folder with wwi markings in the folder with plane's mod. Now works perfectly."   Thanks also to you, Narvik!
