New Static Pack update for DBW Clean JGME Mod pack set!  :)

The update merges the previous static and ship packs into a single static pack.  The merge addresses shared ini file entries required for both ships as well as stationary objects.  Thus, you should delete the #DBW_MOD_Ships pack and use only this updated Static pack.

Note, if you added new ships to the Ships pack, simply merge into the New Static as the new static will include the necessary inis for Ships.

enjoy!

Downloaded and installed static update, all working fine (as is seemingly normal with these excellent packs  :)) obviously not not tested every thing in it! lol

Thanks for all the work

Hi Wind,

Many thanks to yourself and all the others who have contributed to these packs. A few words cannot adequately repay the many hours of time and dedication involved I am sure, but you guys are awesome!

Some feedback for yourself and barnesy12 regarding the Better Wheels fix in part 1 of the download.

After enabling #DBW_MOD_Aircraft in GME the wheels are not currently updated on Blenheims, Hurricanes or Mosquitoes? It looks like the wheels mod has been updated to V2 since inclusion in this package, or you may have had to remove certain planes in this great package of yours due to conflicts? There are no folders for these aircraft in the “Plane” folder within the currently included version of the wheel fix mod.

By comparison the standalone version2 of the wheels mod, now named B&T wheel fix for DBW-HSFX FINAL from barnesy12 in the link below, shows a picture of the Blenheim with updated wheels, and the version2 of this mod appears to contain fixes for many additional planes including those above and also the Buffalo Mk1. HS 129’s Lancaster and more. Would it be possible to update your package to include the newer version perhaps when time allows?

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,19183.0.html

For info. disabled #DBW MOD_Aircraft in the GME and took out the “Plane” folder in the original wheels fix mod. & replaced with the newer 173mb one from the standalone B & T wheelfix V2 FINAL. This gave all Hurricanes new wheels (except Mk 1 early) and the Blenheim bombers, (but not the Blen.fighters). and others mentioned. Otherwise no problems found to date except for the Mosquitoes, which apart from the NF and Tse Tse no longer load unless the wheel entries deleted.

Clean vanilla DBW 1.71 with FBDSM default skins 1-5, & just #DBW_MOD_Aircraft enabled. Other mods in pack re-enabled after without problem.

Thanks once again!

Best IL-2 has ever looked!

The part 2 of the download is "temporarily unavailable." Just saying, in case it's something wrong ;)

EDIT: The file is gone! :O

Hello all,

Tried this morning and all downloads are available.  If you see the message that a download is not available, close the window and try the link again from the original post.  If again, try again.

Seems random, but with a few retries, I was able to see the download button and prompt for the file save.

enjoy!

Wind,
Myself and another user mentioned this problem before and I believe you indicated that a fix was on the way but the problem also continues in this latest version...

The problem is that the F4U-4B mod in the #DBW_MOD_Aircraft folder causes all AI F4U versions to not defend themselves or attack when the enemy appears.  They just move around a bit and continue on to the next waypoint until shot down.

   Any news on this effort?

I have not specifically seen this issue, but will investigate.  Note, I have an update to the Aircraft pack in the wings which actually dumps the F4U-B mod in favor of the late corsair comp mod which includes this plane as well as others.  I will test some QMB missions to see how the ai reacts in with these modded planes to see if the issue exists in this set.

thx for the feedback/finding!

Thanks Win.  I will be anxious to hear the results.  Actually, I don't even use the F4U-4B so I don't mind it being exchanged for something else.  I just have to remove it currently because of the effect on other f4U-1A aircraft that I was using in a campaign I developed.

Well, tested out with QMB and the AI worked fine.  Tried various F4U variants and each engaged the enemy with aggressive yet calculated B&Z tactics.  Yea, I will post up an Aircraft pack update soon with all the latest stuff including the Corsair pack, TBD-1, and other goodies.

stay tuned!
