I'd like to learn the copy/paste technique, I had one mission in my campaign that would just not work, so I had to completely delete it and start over again.  I had Wasted testing the campaign in stages, he has not gotten back with me yet on how it ran for him with the full install, and provided skins.

I tested his Suez campaign and liked his work, so I told him I'd do the same conflict but from the other side, Israeli, British and French missions.  That's why I'd like to see the Meteor sooner rather than later, and if the Cougar comes out I can use it instead of the Panther for the Ouragan.

I kept trying to get Wind to do a jsgme for all the Carrier options that are out there, I have the angle decks working in all installs, but the French Carriers are one of those where everything is so convoluted throughout the thread it give me a headache trying to find it all.

Let me work on it some more and I'll send it to you so I can get your comments and thoughts.

I am getting a memory error with #DBW_MOD_Aircraft. The install is clean and I have verified the problem only exists with this one, I also activated all of the mods in the same order as depicted on page #1 of this thread. The error occurs at 70%

Hi flybywire,

If you are receiving an error at 70% game load, I would double check the "cleanliness" of your air.ini file relative to any other aircraft related mods which may be or have been installed.  Best way to identify would be to disable all mods in GME so none are active.  Then, open your air.ini in a compare program such as winmerge and see how it compares against the air.ini which shipped with the DBW 1.7 and/or 1.7.1 installer.  If both match, then recommend checking the other associated inis tied to the Aircraft pack (as noted in the readme found in the "documentation" folder of the pack.   If everything still matches, then next would be to look in your #DBW folder and ensure there is nothing in there except for the mapmods folder, STD, and XTD.

The goal being to ensure that indeed your install is "Clean" DBW 1.7.1.

If you are receiving a 70% load error, it is tied to a disconnect somewhere with likely an aircraft mod/class entry which may have been previously installed and some element of it is remaining in the #DBW core folder.

Also another test after ensuring in DBW is 1.7.1 clean, would be to try the aircraft pack alone by itself.

All in all, try a few different tests, and look to ensure indeed your install is "clean" before enabling any jsgme packs.

Keep me posted if you get it to work.

I have a problem wich may have some similarity ?

i can activate #DBW_MOD_Aircraft or #DBW_MOD_Static separately, but if i enable both at same time i get a 70% crash, does anyone have an idea ?

EDIT: i have tried the previous aircraft+current static, it works. I wonder if i hit the famous java classes number limit ?

The best way to get the jsgme's to work is to put a dash in front of your current -#DBW folder and go to your DBW 1.7.1 download and find the clean #DBW folder and try it with that.  Anything in the DBW before you try to load the jsgme may cause it to crash.  I can add things to it after it's loaded but I have to revert back to the clean #DBW before I try to reload it again.  When you deactivate it you will see what's left behind, so unless you can throughly clean that #DBW folder I would just go with the clean one.  You can have as many #DBW folders as you want as long as you disable them and only use one.  But that's the nice thing about Winds jsgme, it's damn near got everything you would want.  I add my favorite planes he doesn't have by default before I install it.  Now if he could only make it load faster, he would be my second most favorite person in the world...... ;)

Thanks Monty, I installed the file but the game crashes during initial loading. So I re installed the part 6 SAS {that I never should have} and it works again but the zeros skins are screwed up again.

Have you tried remming the line '@sfs MOUNT sasup_fbdsm_06.sfs' from the .rc file?

I did this.

70% crash is usually .ini related

Thing is, i only installed 1.71 then the packs. I'll try to download the last packs again, who knows ?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Edit: redownloaded aircraft and static packs, no joy.

Previous version works, i'm lost here....

Oh goodness, I have no idea what remming the line nor which file you refer to .

remming is removing. the .rc file is the nameless text file in you MODS/STD directory. it controls what .sfs files your game reads.

Remming is not exactly removing, its just the practice of putting a couple of // or something in front of the entry so that it is not read by the file.  Hope you backed up if you are deleting entries!

Hey WindWpn, forgot to report this to you earlier.  The Default FOV mod that's in your FOV pack isn't working for me.  The FOV change mod (Storebror's?) is working fine however.  I have the FOV=155 line in my conf.ini, but it doesn't change when the game starts.
