Since it happens in the intro first thing I'd try is to set Intro=0 in my conf.ini and see what happens.

Thanks for the tip vpmedia!

Yes, now w/o the intro, it launches to the main menu, but if I try to load any mission, it stops at 30% when it's trying to load the planes. hmmm...? (maybe i'm going to have to start with a new install of dbw171...)

If i don't load the #DBW_MOD_Static, it all works, but will I be missing anything for Monty27's missions i.e., desert air force, BoE, Malta, JG53?

Thanks again.

Hi WindWpn!

I also read through the whole thread and no one seems to have that issues that i got.

#DBW_MOD_Static and #DBW_MOD_Maps seem to run, but when I enable #DBW_MOD_Effects, #DBW_MOD_Etc or #DBW_MOD_Fov, and trying to start the game, nothing happens. Well, nearly nothing, the IL-2-Selector disappears and reappears after half a second. It seems to crash before the loading screen.

Another issue I have with the #DBW_MOD_Aircraft mod, which makes nearly 95% of aircrafts in the qmb unflyable. More exactly: After a mission finished loading, only the sky is being displayed but not the ground and of course not the plane. Nevertheless, some aircrafts do function, e.g. MiG-15 ('49) and some Fw-190s (but not all).

I tried:

Complete new installation of IL-1946
Did Updates 4.07, 4.08, 4.09 w/skins, 4.10 and 4.10.1
Installed Ultrapack 3.0
Installed UP 3.0 RC4
Installed DBW 1.71
Enabled the Mods from your pack via JSGME.
Repeated steps 1-5 three times --> result as described above.

No other mods were enabled during the testing, so this is 100% Vanilla-DBW 1.71.
The Selector is of course set to DBW, 512mb RAM and Noob-Mode (means, no expert mode).

My UP and DBW-Install from last week is working well and the mods that came with the UP&DBW-Pack are also working.

I dont't really know what to do with it and I hope you could give some advise.

Greetings from Germany and big thanks for your Mod-Pack!

One thing to try is to set it to "Expert" mode and ensure "Enable Mod Files Cache" is unchecked.

Perhaps too, see the first page of this thread and the screen shot which shows the mod packs enabled.  Try enabling GME to match that collection (note, Pilots is not released so you will not have that one).
Additionally if you can load into the actual game (not UI), and it you see wierd stuff like only the sky, hit shift/tab to bring up the java console and see if you see any listings that say "error"  if so, note what the error line says and that will help debug.

All in all, yea odd that you are seeing issues as the packs have been in wide use for a while and have not changed since Flying Tigers release.

keep us posted if you have any luck!

I've installed the mod_aircraft, mod_static and mod_maps into a 'clean' install of UP3/DBW.

mod_aircraft causes 70% ctd, with the following log:

Well, after a complete rebuild of my UP3 installation, and a painstaking one-by-one adding and testing of all the modded aircraft I had I think I've got it working.

...Only took four hours  :P

Good idea though to have all the mods as a JGSME option.

I do back up my DBW  and JGSME folders from time to time. I had a lot of other aircraft (20+) added to my previous installation and it was easier to just start over again adding all my new content to the clean mod pack. It took a long time because every time I add an a/c to the pack I start the game to check if everything works.

I also have clean backups of my 4.10.1, 4.11.1, UP3 and HSFX installs. One of the most time consuming tasks is transferring all the skins and missions to the 'working copies' of the game.
