Found out the hard way that this aint DCG. lol. I'm not about to back up my wonderful DCG to download a new version of dgen (which DCG replaces) to play this. I downloaded everything and the dang thing didnt work, so i went back and looked at the tons of stuff i need to do and when it came to downloading a new dgen version, i said the hell with it. lol. DCG is too critical to me but i will commend you on this. Really looks like a nice put together campaign. unfortunately DCG wins on this one. but if you make a version that is DCG compatible and instead of things all over the place (yes i need easy lol) you make a "one shot-one kill" version that includes everything down to the DGEN rewrite which i would gladly uninstall my DCG to add this. but i am lazy lol. Hey, at least I'm honest. hehe cheers m8 and good luck on your endeavor.
Hey Chaney!
Have not seen u on WoP in a while, plus GS has started Live in the Solomons. Fun times!
Regarding your DCG/DGEN experience, you can run this campaign pretty easily even with running DCG campaigns active. Basically it boils down to the DCG UI dropdown "Mode" selector. When you click on "Mode" along the top bar in the DCG UI, the "Replace Career Generator (DGEN)" is the key.
If you want to fly this campaign, uncheck the line. Load up DBW, and start up or continue this campaign. If you want to go back to DCG, simply close Il2, open the DCG UI, and check the "Replace Career Generator (DGEN)" mode. Load IL2 back up, choose your DCG campaign, and hit it!
All in all, the "Replace Career Generator (DGEN)" is basically the toggle between DCG and DGEN. Very simple to switch between the two in the DCG UI, and enjoy either type of dynamic campaign.
Note, this DGEN campaign in particular is quite nice since there is a TON of ground activity with lots of stuff to hit even outside mission objectives. Plus the airfields are well populated for the ambiance. Whereas, DCG has the "rolling" campaign activity/response format and lots of air action possibilities, this DGEN campaign in particular simply has a lot of stuff down low!
I enjoy both with that simple toggle!
cya!
