hguderian, the Bf 109 g6 ASN is in the planes.dat file but not in the DB file, that can't cause the problem

check your dgenerror.log file or dgenerror2.log file in the il2 root folder and copy the content here

i need some iformations about your installation

dgen.exe is up to date like mentioned?

which subcampaign chrashes?

only the Luftwaffe part or the allied campaigns also?

Hi Boelke: I must apologize to you...I've discovered I've disabled time ago the Bf109-D1 in my modified Air.ini.

Reenabling it and all goes well...now I can fly your campaign :=)))

Sorry for the inconvenience...Thank you anyway.

However the already quoted error remains

Hi Boelke!

Thank you a lot for your hard work. Sadly, I have a very similar problem than SLAWEK1971WAWA.
I tested the RAF fighter campaign, beginning with the Belgium 1939, Phoney war sub-campaign. Everything goes fine until I change to the 2nd sub-campaign : Belgium 1940, Blitzkrieg. My computer froze when I try to go to the briefing menu of the first mission of this sub-campaign. If I restart Il2 and try to reload this pilot career, I have an error message telling me it wasn't possible to load the required map.

Here is my Dgen Log :

Please excuse me (again) for my ignorance, but I don't have a DGen section in my Conf.ini folder, at least I am pretty sure I don't.  Do I just copy the below stuff into the conf. folder?  If I do have it and just don't know it, will one of you really smart guys tell me where it is?

"IMPORTANT: Recommended settings for the [DGEN] section of the CONF.INI:

My settings are these

[DGen]
RandomFlights=3
;UseParkedPlanes=0
HistoricalRanks=1
NoAirfieldHighlight=1
MaxFLAK=40
MissionDistance=75
MaxBomberSkill=0"

Thanks for your help.

Hi

Cut  paste the settings you have into the conf file as you sugested. The original conf file does not come with a dgen section so you create it by doing the following

[DGEN]
& then the settings you have.

Hi Boelcke!

I've noticed a strange bug when I start a new career with Luftwaffe: the ranks in briefing and debriefing screens are totally different from the rankslist I've in "De" folder and in the various Message.dat files, and from the rank I've choose at the beginning.
No problems with RAF and USAAF.
No problems also with others Dgen campaigns (stock and modded).
This happen only with yours campaign, and I not understand why... All seems okay into Dgen folder!

I need to modify or add something?

P.s. isn't a big problem, I know... ;D

Thanks in advance!

Bye!

Its because you have HistoricalRanks=1 set in the [DGEN] section of the conf.ini. file

Hi Kennel, thanks for the answer!
The problem seems to be independent from "HistoricalRanks=" setting (no problem with USAAF and RAF) .
It was the first thing I've tried to modify, before posting my report.
I've the same problem also with Jg27, Kuban, and Italian Falcons campaign (from EnjoyR patch)
Probably there some problem in my Dgen's files.

Repeat: isn't a big problem, the campaign works and it's really funny and challenging! (Thank you again Boelcke!).
It's only for my curiosity to understand where is error and correct it... :)

Bye!
