Good news indeed:)
May I ask why you would use the Circus map for the Channel conflict instead of Canons channel map? As I understand the Circust gives a relatively "narrow" tunnel to fly in and so much of the action in the period is in the Dunkirk- Le Havre region.
The reason is simple: Time.
If i would use Canons map for this period i would have to create new mission templates with all ground objects from scratch and i would have to create all the mission again from scratch, that´s to much work - my Channel front or now called Westfront campaign is the cumulated work of nearly 10 years, i can´t do a complete change to a complete new set of maps in some weeks, it´s impossible.
Every new map means
1) Adding the map data to Asuras Mod EXE
2) Create a complete template with populated airfields, static and moving objects and ships, target areas and so on
3) Create complete new missions, related to the new distances
That is work for months - for each map. Keep in mind that the normandy map in my campaign is more than highly populated.
The DRK_Circus map fit´s this period also, at least as a start, with realistic distances and now realistic airfields and missions for the RAF/USAAF- it is done in 1:1 scale! And it´s possible to use the mission sets and object templates from my old campaign.
Atm i´m spending a lot of time to add Gilb´s Westfront 40/44 map to the campaign for the 1940 and 1944/45 part. This map is much better suited because of the ammount of details.
Additionaly i have to work on my Northern Africa /MTO campaign ... as said, i can´t do all at once.
