In the game root you should have a file named log.lst
Open this in NotePad and look for error messages about HMS Eagle --- near the end.
Post this part of the text here -- using the Insert Code facility.

[Console]
HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=0
LOGTIME=0
LOGFILE=log.lst
LOGKEEP=0

Confg.ini looks like this

That conf.ini doesn't write out to log.lst.

Need
LOG=1
LOGTIME=1

And if you want, (oprional)
LOGFILE=log.txt
Then, notepad.exe can easy open log by log.txt double-clicked.

Beautiful ship Ashehouse, thank you very much!  I have one problem with it that I have not been able to resolve.  When land on-board, the frame rate  begins to stutter almost to the point of freezing as the object aircraft (doesn't make any difference what type) approaches the Eagle on short final just before touch down.   Sound seems to continue at normal speed but frame rate pretty much shuts down.    I have 4.101 with mod act 3.6.

This model is a bit heavier on textures than stock ships.
What sort of standard of pc and graphics card are you running on?

The highest-res textures cut in about 500m from the ship.
Is that where you see the problem?

Thanks for the reply Ashehouse.  You hit the nail on the head.  About 500m is where the problems start.  Not surpirsing I guess as I've got an old system Dell 8300 XP with a G Force 5900 graphics card.  Good for most Il2 things but not high end graphics.  Beautiful ship though, thanks again for the work and response.

This carrier is one of the greatest things since sliced bread!
At least regarding Il-2 ships :)
Her adventures would make a great campaign especially since we have all the necessary planes and maps.

One small thing, the takeoff position is too far to the left, your left gear hangs in the deck gallery, with a Sea Gladiator or a Swordfish it is managable but with a Fulmar you usually rip off your left landing gear.

I don't know if this will work for you but you could try it.
I am told that some older graphics cards perform best with square textures.
The large ones in Eagle are rectangular.
Make backups of the larger tga files.
Then in a graphics package like Gimp or Photoshop change the proportions of the largest textures to 1024x1024.
The texture mapping should still work ok
Please let me know if this improves things.

Failing that you could reduce the overall size of the tga files which will reduce the demand on the graphics.
