Hello guys, I'm trying to install Eagle but I can't find the files ship.ini and ship_ru properties to complete the installation.

I found a file ship_ru propierties in the #dbw\xtd\i18n folder, not in \std\i18n folder, is it the same?

Anyone could help me please?

#dbw\xtd\i18n folder is a MASTER files of *.properties .
And not to edit them.

You have to copy *.properties files want to edit from #dbw\xtd\i18n folder to #dbw\std\i18n folder, after it,
you can edit freely in #dbw\std\i18n\*.properties files.

Hi Blumax, thanks for reply. I know where is the file ships.ini, but I need to know where to find the file ship.ini. In the installation instructions for  HMSEagle is specified not confuses ships.ini with ship.ini....

Maybe Asheshouse could clarify to me this difference.

Hi Markino

The ship.ini text entry is optional. It resides in the i18n folder, but mod packs usually omit it.
The function of the file is to enable the views in the View Objects feature in the main menu.

I get your copy and  I will try to put it in my #DBW\STD\i18n folder as .txt file, I think that is correct; or I should copy an air.ini file, then rename it as ship.ini, delete all lines and paste the text of your copy.

Which is the best solution, please?

No.
Just copy and paste the text into a text editor,
add the lines for HMS Eagle,
and save as ship.ini in your #DBW\STD\i18n folder.

I think that is right for DBW, but not certain as I have a classic mod setup.

The Britain section should have text lines like

thanks a lot for that ini; my install does not have one and this one that you have kindly posted is at least a start for me
my install contains nearly all ships that have been released for 4.10 (at least the ones that are available here at SAS), so I think
I will have some additions to do

Hello guys, well, finally I set ship.ini file in the i18n folder.  I tryed to set New-TFM #29 Ship Pack also.
All ships are visible and available on FMB but in the View Object on the main menu of the game,  when I select a ship, e.g. USS Cabot CV or USS Indipendence CV (if I remember well they are ships of Plosh...), the screen start to blinking and I must exit by keyboard: ESC key, then scrolling by TAB key to Yes option.

There are solutions to solve this trouble?

With ships by Asheshouse, e.g. USS Enterprise '42 and '44 this not happens.

If the ships appear ok in FMB then they should also appear ok in Object Viewer.
If there is a problem in FMB check chief.ini and ships.ini entries.

Or check for errors in your logfile.
