I'm now trying to download it since a week - on all 3 mirrors it starts, but never gets very far, then it stops and cannot reconnect. I know my connection is crappy, it wouldn't be much faster on a torrent for me, but at least it would be stable.

And I really want this pack, so please one of you guys who have high speed connections, could you make a torrent ?  Because like this it will take forever.

This pack is indeed very impressive. The work that is done is enormous.

This is an example set for every future plane pack!

Questions:

- Please tell us more things about the different versions, all these differences in the FM, this discussion about 190 FM was done again and again in the past but now it's the first time that everything is packed together.I presume that the stock slots have the UP3.0/DBW FMs, and the 'original' the olegs FMs. But why someone would like to fly with the old, faulty FMs?

- The loadouts for A-8 & D-9. So both they didn't have external tanks ??? ??? Only the D-9/R5 had external loadouts? Why then the D-9 Early has loadout options? I 've seen many photos of D-9s with drop tanks (not bombs to be honest), so I cannot believe that they were around many (if any) D-9 that could not carry external tanks.

- The old style canopy for the A-8. For making a changing as such, you must be convinced that most A-8s had the old-style canopy. But the impression taken from various Fw 190 books is different, it is given the impression that the old style canopy was fitted only in very early blocks, in battle-damaged (cannibalizing older written-off aircraft) or recycled aircraft (in any case when for some reason the new one was not available).

Suggestions:

- For the D-9 loadout bug, you can have a look at the D-9 DZZ mod with the different loadouts.

- Simplify the installation process. Possibly offer ready-made technics & stationary air.ini, a ready-made RC and 9.7 buttons together in the pack. For an experienced user the istallation instructions are very clear, but for a newbie in IL-2 modding it may be too much.

Requests:

- The D-9 hier file so I can make it work the old DZZ mods (unless you plan to add some loadout options to the D-9s)

EDIT: What I am asking in other words is the R1 version that is historical (in fact, it seems that the D-9/R1 was the almost standard D-9 with a few D-9/R5 around)

- To add to the pack the wolf fighter luftwaffe pilots. Now, as it is, it's impossible to add them, since

Attention:

If you have the 4.101+ older versions of DBW, old versions of mission pro combo can cause a 70% crash.

EDIT No2:

I found a little bug, the hook for the right MK108 in the Fw190D-11 is in the wrong position

Indeed, I have the same bug.

Hello Fanatic.

That's a lot of things to answer for Clay, don't you think ?
As you said his Mod is very impressive.

I would agree with you about "Please tell us more things about the different versions, all these differences in the FM... etc... ".
I think that confusion comes from the fact that modders are not able , and may not get "Stock Aircraft" out of the game. So , some modded AC may seem to duplicate some stock ones.

I agree also on the fact that all D-9 were able to carry drop tanks on  ETC 504 rack.

For the canopies , it seems to me (but I am quite sure ... ;) )that the "Blown" canopy were introduced on F-8 models , and have been sometimes retrofitted on A-8 and installed on A-9 and D-9 late models.
Actually  A-8 had "Flat" ones and most of them flew like that. At that time only "Alte Nazen" could have the luxury of asking to have their aircraft especially fitted on demand.
It happened also that "early" D-9 were retrofitted with a Late "Blown" canopy, like the AC of Hans Dortemann of JG54.(But he was an Alte Naze ! ).
So I am quite happy with the smart choice that Clay is offering us , little pampered virtual fighters !
I think that Clay is preparing us a new "default" Fw 190 pilot with typical german flight helmet and oxygen masks... at least that's what I understood by reading these # topics.

For the rest , I haven't the slightiest idea.

And , please , for the future , do not act like me ... ask a single question at a time, so that Claymore can breath a little ... :D

A lot of things ? In fact no, they are easy to do now  ;D

Ok so I will add the droptank loadout on "stock" D9s ;) may be this new loadout can solve the duplicated list  ::)

About all the FM, as I'm not able to make them I kept those which where sent with the original plane mod, sometimes these FM has been changed by SaS staff while they updated their buttons file, no more, from my part I just ask to SaS~CirX if he could add the missing one from my pack; Sani's A3 because previously their FM was located in DiffFM and the Ta 152B which is only a Ta 152 C FM fitted with the Ta 152 H engine.

And about Wolfighter's pilots it's not necessary for the reasons which I have already evoked higher, my pilots pack are now rebuilt:

The Fw190D-9orig / D-9L orig was the name for the new slot/FM from UP2.01, the same goes for Fw190A-4 1.42, A-5 1.42, 1,58, A6-orig, A-8 and A-9 1.65.

I keep those plane outside my air.ini, probable the FM are very similar to the new FM stock slot

Thank you very much for your answers. All these answers are good news. The only thing was left unanswered was about the non-existence of a drop tank option in A-8/9 (but still this was already not an option, but I thought Claymore as an 190 expert should know).

I am going to check again the FMs, see what are the differences, but they are so many planes, it will take some time.

I am looking forwards to download (when they're going to be ready) the new pilots!

Thank you again. I cannot wait the moment to download them. This attention for detail and effort for historical realism is what makes the whole pack so exciting.

Hey Guys!
One question: does the Ta-152H-1 here in the pack have the FM where it is not the plane that it should be (I mean very good on high/extreme altitudes) or the stock one, which was IMO good enough? In DBW for example I feel it is soooo much underpowered... What a pity...
In the readme I found only: Ta-152H-1 (Oleg Maddox) - guess it means stock FM?
I am waiting for a new rig, so I can`t check it out...
Cheers :)

All the planes of this pack are using the current SaS buttons, I don't know if the FM in this buttons are right or not.
