Thanks for the hint...but if you don't have an updated filelist you can't extract all the Claymore's sfs content.

I hope Claymore will make that reticle change as an option regardless any historical consideration.

Cheers

Thank you Claymore!  I'm having a ball with these, playing with a number of variants through one of Boelcke's DGen campaigns.  Love the details too, this is a wonderful treatment, and thanks for the excellent manual too.

Hey Claymore,

I love your new FW-190s, and testing on a clean DBW 1.71, they install and run fine.  However, for some reason they stop my Beacons from functioning.  Has anyone else noticed this?

I put the FW-190s in with a JSGME Pack, to easily and quickly test with and without your FW-190s.  They are definately knocking my beacons out!  Can anyone else verify this issue?

I've not got around to the beacons yet mate. They didn't work in my other, heavily modded 3.06 install. So I've not used them for a long time.  ;)

Ok, no worries, though I have just found a fix!  ;D

For those who want to use radio navigation in 4.10.1 for all aircraft as well as the the 190's, assuming you have no other mods which also cause the same problem, disable the following classfile: 1F8E9514CA7C6CDC which is in the 000_Classes Fw190 Pack folder or whatever you called it in #SAS or MODS. Simply put a '-' at the start of the file name. This restores stock beacon function to all a/c and does not cause any problems with the 190's. Test it by flying a few compatible aircraft on the Moscow Winter map and the stock B-25J blind landing training mission.

I am yet to triple check but I believe this solved it.

Now my 190's are officially complete! Thanks very much Claymore! And my apologies for keeping bothering you about this pesky problem!  :-\

Perhaps you might want to put this info on the first page of this post for those who are bothered?

Michael.  :)

Thank you!  It always pays to read the whole thread...  This is a great fix, FWs now work great and beacons are back!

Damned broken beacons took me a day to pin down the cause before I could even start looking for a solution.  I would recommend sticking this on the front page for the 'search-challenged'.

I guess you will need 4.11 buttons which contain these FM's (except these use diff fm).

No worries, though, I would also refer you to this, courtesy of SAS~Geraz; more to do with class files this should practically guarantee that any mods can be compatible with stock 4.10.1 radio beacon functionality in the future:

disable the following classfile: 1F8E9514CA7C6CDC

Well done, congrats for solving this Michael!

Yesterday I searched high and low when I remembered two hashfiles Cirx once told us to disable to have 4.10 Nav working correctly but haven't found it on my HD..  ::)

the one 1F8E9514CA7C6CDC you found was at this time coming with Avengers Pack 2 and in old Fw-190A2-A3 pack and with very old 109Mod-g_109_AHS_Plus mod but there is also another hashfile (finally found it): DA40F18C338F4036 coming in Avenger and Fw190A2,A3 packs. I assume parts of this Fw-190A2-A3 pack was used in Clays pack now and so we had this Nav error again. This I should have remembered .. damned Alzheimer.  ;D

So when any other Nav errors appears lets look for DA40F18C338F4036, just looked for it in 190er pack, its wheter in the 00_Fw190_classfiles folder nor in the 190er SFS files so it seems that it will nor ruin the fun with Nav features.  :)

Cheers, :)

Perhaps putting this post in a more concise form at the front might be helpful to those also searching for such solutions in the mass of posts which has now accumulated?

Michael.

Thanks Mike, just glad to have found your fix after first diagnosing the conflict and isolating the source.  I have made a note of these classfiles for future reference.  I often post noobs about the importance of going back to first principles and searching for the information, so it was good to be tested and find that those principles still apply!

Be patient, the pack already run properly on HSFX 6.0 beta ;)

Michael.

If you download again all the classfiles for 4.101 you will not have any more this class ;)
