I fix some 3D bugs and deck texture resolution make twice higher. (Done)
Airplanes' shadows are drawn on the flight deck. (Done)

Changes from BETA11 - Island fix, flight deck collision fix (*.ini are not changed)

You have to erase BETA10 or older install folder completely. Don't overwrite BETA12 onto BETA10 or older folder.

BETA12 needs Ship Extention 2.10 https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,18742.0.html for full functions.
UP3RC4 isn't compatible to Ship Extention 2.10, in limited functions (without rotating radars) you can use BETA12 ships in UP3RC4.

And this Essex SCB-125 has Catapults , but they work on only this new Catapult MOD.

At 27th Dec. 2011, DBW or UP3RC4, HSFX5, SASModAct3 - all the MOD exvironments are supported by this Catapult MOD and we can use Catapult on Essex.
HSFX5, SASModAct3 (without Jetwar ver1.2)are 25th Feb. 2012 version is latest.
Only UP3RC4 is 27th Dec. 2011 version is latest and some functions limited.
DBW1.71, SASModAct3 with Jetwar ver1.2 are Anto's AI~Carrier MOD v2.5 is latest.

But for AI, enabling some new Jets use Catapult is need to version-up Carrier Take-Off MOD.

(But DBW1.71 version is a few buggy, I released a patch version5.7.2 for DBW1.71.)

How to use catapults?

1. install new Catapult MOD

2. You have to taxi you airplane from spawning point to the catapult starting point and push "Toggle Chocks" key, then airplane will be set on the Catapult.
After you make full-throttle, push "Toggle Chocks" key again, the catapult push your aircraft to take-off.

3. When you enable "Carrier Take-off MOD", AI airplanes jump to the catapult starting point, not taxi.

Great work Western! We will wait on on an HSFX modact release. AI will not use cat in your previous versions because the carrier isn't in it's list. Is it possible to have MDS spawn position more forward so angle deck is clear for recovering aircraft. AI use in HSFX install is critical in a Korea Campiagn we are looking to do in SEOW which is an HSFX install.

western, words can't even start to express how I feel right now.The USS Hornet CVA 12 in across the bay from where I live. I have walked her old wooden decks and always hope I would get a chance to take her back to war. Wait till tell one of the tour guides I meet that his ship is in a flight simulation now that we can both fly. It should blow his mind. Thank so very much. wc

He corrected UV mapping problem.
Around 2nd Elevator mapping, now right! Thanks Gerd!!

Thank you very much! Your hard work is paying off and is very much appreciated. I noticed, the flight deck looks great from certain angles but other angles appears "blurry". Is this just me? Any ideas?

I think I know what you mean.

While looking with low angle from deck right from the side, etc...

I don't know of a way to counter this. Maybe someone else does.

That blurring problem could have something to do with the texture sizes. 

I have just sent Western a deck for USS Hancock that was made in 2048 size from scratch, the decks so far were made in 1024 size and blown up to 2048.

Lets see how that looks once he has had time to do it, that might help.

If that works I will re do all the deck skins in 2048.

Shangri La 1955 has other lines paint rule bt 1960 ones, I feel.

When I get other 1950's Essex's paint scheme blueprints or photos from just above, more 1950's will be made...
