Hi guys, great work on Essex class carriers, getting better and better!!
A couple of questions if I may:
1. Is there a plan for modeling a correct SCB-125 bridge to replace stock WW2 one?

When Diving Hawk will model SCB-125 bridge, I will use that.
Or... I myself will model that.

No plan at soon, but in the future, I want to make it.

2. Is there any way to lower that big antenna on the starboard side, or remove it, because
it doesn`t really exist if you take a look at the original photos, and it is a little bit in a way
    if you are practicing landings....
I remove that at BETA9 ;)

At BETA9 installing, erase old "USSEssexCVs_SCB125" folder and copy new "USSEssexCVs_SCB125" folder.

What/When was that antenna in historical? It's my question today.
I see 1984's blueprints in "Weyer's Warships of the world", it shows that big antenna there.
But in 1956~1970 photos, nothing there.

Thaks western for quick reply. I never found any evidence of antenna or a crane there, but
thanks for removing it, I yet have to install your new version.

Anyway, how are the landings going guys?

Need help installing, I am a little confused as to the correct placement of the folders found in the two downloads. There is a folder named  USSEssexCVs_SCG125 in both parts of the download. both have a 3do folder inside but the contents of these folders are different.
Part a has class files, partb has a seperate folder for each of the ships. i am flying UP3RC4 any help would be greatly appricated.

BETA10 released. DL link is 1st post.

-Fix some texture bugs
-Decreasing textures and saving folder size ... Pack total folder size is decreased from 700MB to 600MB.

To enable this size decreasing, you have to erase old install folder completely. Don't overwrite onto old folder.

Copy new "USSEssexCVs_SCB125" folder to your MODS folder.
Copy both "pack-a"'s folder and "pack-b"'s folder into the same place.

This all needs to be consolidated for an easier download, I'm running all over the place because mod A is dependent on mod B, and mod B is dependent on Mod F.  I had this working a while back but it's evolved so much that it's impossible to know what you need any longer.  A chronological download thread for install dependent (DBW/UP3/HSFX) files would be greatly appreciated.

I have this on HSFX but none of my other installs.

Help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for all the outstanding work on these Carriers.  Thats from a guy that spent 20 years in the Navy and 12.5 of that on Carriers. (Connie/Enterprise/Lincoln).

sitting on the deck and looking around stirs up memories...

Thanks.

This is still a WIP thread.
I expect the final version will provide the consolidated download.
In the meantime, thanks for making the Beta version available.

CTD Attempting to load Essex CV SCB-125 Mod
« Reply #83 on: February 16, 2012, 01:05:14 AM »

First of all many thanks to those dedicated souls developing the Essex CV SCB-125 mod, it looks fantastic.  I am running DBW 1.7 and have attempted to load the mod using Western's BETA10 pack "a" and BETA10 pack "b".  I have diligently followed the instructions regarding the additional lines to the various ini's and copied the two ETA10 packs into the same folder in my #DBW# folder but am getting a CTD at 70%.

From reading the "readme" I suspect that Western's BETA10 packs don't contain Diving_Hawk's original USSEssexCV_ead_SCB125 mod but is rather a mod to expand the list of Essex class carriers in the sim, if this is so could someone please point me in the right direction,  I have read through all the posts on the subject an see where Diving_Hawk's mod is mentioned but I cannot find the actual mod (unless, of course it is included in the BETa10 packs in which case I have another problem).

Sure would appreciate some help on this one, I am very keen to try some F8 traps on the angled deck.
