BTW, to put it on record, after giving close to a 3 hour Play Time, with this latest official patch, I am relieved for a change. I kept on wondering what was wrong, I suddenly realized that "the game did not crash to desk top". I was psychically drained after that length of game play. Thanks CloD Dev's, for essentially a new Sim. Im impressed.

See this I don't get.. I just bought Rise of Flight.. Gameplay/Graphics/texture-mesh detail every bit as good (or better) then CLoD, and have no problems what so ever on my rig running RoF with everything set to 'High'. Including an un-Godly amount of A/C flying around. Try the same with CLoD.. and maybe 8-12FPS if I'm lucky. 30fps+ always with RoF. I mean.. how are they coding CLoD? With Einstien equations & multiples of 1000000s?

Runnign latest steam patch? RoF and CLoD run near identical for me- both on higest settings (minus supersampling for RoF and with Effects "Medium" for CLoD). BOth output around 50 fps. Maybe there is a glitch with your video card drivers etc

Don't think my drivers are the problem. I have all the latest ATI drivers. For 1946 I run the 11.5 dll in the game root. Just updated my realtek audiodriver which made a big difference on RoF, & CloD.. go figure. I did get the patch through steam, little better, not much though. Pity.. cause I really like CLoD! :)

Sonny; Im here to help you have and enjoy TFM . But first we need to see what is causing your CTD the log.lst file is commented in this way:
Find your game's conf.ini. use this link info to configure your PC.    http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?2678
[Console]
HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=1 <--- all that needs to be to activate the log. Thats all.
LOGTIME=0
LOGFILE=PUNISHER <---- Name it something you can recognise.
LOGKEEP=0 <--- means it will keep data stored, dont activate this. It will create and keep a dump every time you launch your  game, "not needed"

Ok now that you got it configured go launch your game and at the bottom of the file, data will be your answer to why its crashing, but the answer is hard to define unless you have seen and fixed that query before. Get crakin.

Hi Big Foot

Thanks for your help , but I definitely can't get this logfile to install.
In my conf.ini I have

[Console]

HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=1
LOGTIME=0
LOGFILE=FuckedUp (but also tried with =logfile.log or  =log.lst )
LOGKEEP=0 (Also tried with =1 )

This" FuckedUp" should appear in my conf.ini, shouldn't it ?

I use to put my conf.ini in " read only " after having made changes to it , but even when "unlocked" this logfile or now "FuckedUp" does not create.
What extension should have this FuckedUp ? ...lst ?

Now that my TFM is running I'd really like to get this logfile working.
As for today I only have
-----------------------------------
[Console]
console.cmd
initlog.lst
sound.log
eventlog.lst
--------------
appearing in my TFM root directory.

Thanks again for your help.

Sonny :)

No, your FuckedUp file will be in your IL2 Root folder. Here a screenshot of my Root Folder my Log.lst is Punisher.

When you do actually find it, open it up with Windows "Word Pad" and at the bottom "generally" will be your query.

Thanks Big Foot

but I did a mistake when posting , I confused conf.ini and Root.
I perfectly knew it should come in my Root.

BUT ACTUALLY IT DOESN'T !.

Silly question

Is this Logfile logging everything or only when there is a mishap ?

The most curious is that it's working in my 4.09 install !.

Sonny  ;)
