I just right now did just that, with a C47 being chased by MiG19.

And again the old saying is proven: "The more advanced a plane is, the more it sucks at trying to catch something that is doing manual 20ft terrain avoidance." (Now a "Farmer" is not the most advanced thing I can imagine, but you get the idea )

I don't know what Wasted defines as "very" low, but less than half the C47's wingspan is kinda low for me

Here is the catch the rear opening we used it in flight for halo's is this mod be able to do that to open it in flight for jumper's

I have the C-130 for FSX.... And I too get bored flying it from point A to point B.... But any plane in FSX will be funner to fly in IL-2 due to it's combat environment!

I love what the marines are doing with their C-130's.  The Marine C-130 pilots found that many of the FOBs they were delivering supplies too were often under fire.  Instead of orbiting and waiting for the attack to abate... They lobbied to get some sort of weapons added to their planes...  Enter "Harvest Hawk!"









It's a cool idea... A normal "slick" C-130 delivering MRE's, gas, and water can still target attackers and fire up to 4 hellfires.... And in some cases they can airdrop the supplies out the ramp to the FOB... Then roll the last pallet containing guided missiles to the edge of the ramp... And fire on targets as the leave the area.

Ha! Leave it to the USMC to come up with a way to kill the bad guys at any opportunity. I'm proud. And I can promise you that it was all pretty cheap and did not need 10 yrs of pentagon and Congressional study to obtain. Where does the line start to volunteer to man the 30mm?
