You probably have an error in the ships.ini file.

You need to delete the old USSBBGeneric entries and copy in the new ones given above.

Ensure that you keep a backup.

did a search, Ctrl-F, of the files requiring the replacement of the USSBBGeneric lines and have found no trace of the USSBBGeneric

the Colorado lines all seem to be in place

one last ? before I quit bugging you, is the path below the proper path for the GoFo folder?

C:\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#UP\ShipGofo

had the UP folder as #UP# but the extra # seemed to have been crashing the game

thanks again

If you want to replace the USSBBGeneric with USS Colorado then you should still have some traces of USSBBGeneric in your ships.ini.
Read this post again   https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,20755.msg432302.html#msg432302

The folder reference    C:\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#UP\ShipGofo   looks ok.
The folder name ShipGofo can be renamed to anything you like.
Within that folder you should have 3do\Ships\USSColoradoBB45_41

The folder reference    C:\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#UP\ShipGofo   looks ok.    ----- #UP# is wrong.

No, No.
About Ultr@pack3.0RC4 , #UP# is right.

Inksetter's #UP# makes IL-2 craching is.... only writing the ini entries of chief.ini / stationary.ini  ships.ini are mistaken or folder position (with classfiles) are mistaken.
It's standard behavier of mistaking of installing ship MODs.
Not to remane #UP# folder into others, that nothing solve.

I followed the readme and it made battleship row in the Hawaii maps vanish(which I should have expected seeing as they were scripted to put the Generic battleship there). That being said does any one have a copy of the Generic battleship,s data so I can reset and try it the correct way?

I have just about given up on this mod as I have followed the install instructions to the letter and I can not for the life of me get it to work. >:(
