Even though they look somewhat similar, they are two different aircraft. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%BCcker_B%C3%BC_181

There are quite a few differences between the two. For example, the Bu-181 had fixed landing gear, the Bf-108 had retractable landing gear.

Today I have installed Bu 181, and I would appreciate if someone can give me a solution to the problems I have encountered.
My sim version is UP on 4.10. more diff fm.

I have checked the cockpit of the package and there is no file similar to the ones claimed in the log.
In the interior view of the cabin it is true that I do not see the pedals.

I did not make the 410 version. However it seems to contain the same files.
And I'm sorry but this pack (cockpit folder) does not contain or use a file named "Overlay1.mat".
You must have parasites with a Bu.181 Mod!

Well that's the way it is the cockpit would need a few touches and the calls for missing meshes depends on the class used as a base for the cockpit class so we have to be patient and wait  for a goodwilling modder .....:)

Strange that the first post  ZZBü-181 for 410 does not have it, while my ZZBü-181 with cockpit BU_181 does have Overlay1 !
Overlay1.mat 10/29/2010 from cockpit Bu_181 ( an older release 410 ?! ) content is :             TextureName  ..\TEXTURES\4D.tga
No such texture is included in that particular mod, nor did I found a 4d.tga in my active mods files 412, (..however such searches been known to fail me ).
Yet the relevant bu-181 does work in my 412 SAS 5.3.

Earlier I did search why the hell is it working for me anyway:
So was thinking 4D.tga being possible 'basic game file or some sfs content'..but only found a    3do\plane\TEXTURES\4D.tga in game 'original filelist' and some bigger filelist,
plus in my DBW mods I found:     06__Cant-Z506_for410_v2  in which  4D.tga as a plane\textures file once again. Not the sought 3do\cockpit\TEXTURES\4D.tga  .
Former Cant506's 4D.tga is a Blank and has a big "4D" written in the alpha channel.  :P

..and thus to no reasonable avail (..proper mysterious hidden file not found..  ).
Alternatively the mat was in there but not in use.

Attention: do not apply this fix unless you have the exact same issue. Readme inside.

It might or not require that the fix is to be loaded before the/any offensive mod: do try inner content (3do) as a patch first.

Alternate first possible solution:
It just occurred to me you might try to relocate your 181 mod: rewrite title from  ZZBü-181 
      to     "  !       ZZBü-181 "   or something like that ( = more spaces, or more !!  , or ! ! ! ).

Since the creation of the World there are generic textures used to fill the Overlay.
Their names and visuals are particular.
They are :
4D.tga
22.tga
null.tga
JAR2.tga
JAR.tga
balken0.tga
3.tga
redstar3.tga
... and others.
Textures have been in SFS since the creation of the World.

To have the 4D.tga called by Overlay1 make perfect sense in the plane textures as this will be used to show markings. What is puzzling me is that it was impossible to find out the mesh in the cockpit that is calling for the overlay1.mat. Moreover why the error appears only on some system and not for everybody.

Out of curiosity I installed the plane in 409modact, UP2 and 4.10modact and always got this error message and while normally this would be a critical error that should prevent from loading the cockpit in this case nothing bad  happens and cockpit  can be displayed.

I think I find out the origin of the error: inside the cockpit you have Overlay5.mat and this is the content

[ClassInfo]
  ClassName TMaterial
  BasedOn Overlay1.mat
[Layer0]
  TextureName skin1o.tga

so at that point Overlay1 is called and 4d.tga come in the picture...

This also explains why the error is not critical

Hello everyone and thanks for your response.
I see that you have focused on the Overlay1, but what do those other fragments that you cannot find, Zpedal or compasses, etc. mean to you? When the panel, at least the one I see in my installation, is not functional. Just a nice decor :)
I will try your solution Ubberranz and I will let you know the result.
A curiosity. Is that strange inward angle that the wheels form with respect to the landing gear normal?
If the changes do not work, I always have the alternative most used by humanity throughout history.

Overlay1 is the only real error I saw.
The others are déjà-vu: the "Can't find chunk"subjects. They don't matter much.
