I've recently upgraded to UP2.01 and was wondering if it was possible to tweak the Uranium mod so I could keep the stock UP2.01 2D/3D plane smoke (smoke damage, fuel leak, etc.), but have the Uranium effects for everything else (debris, hit flash, ground smoke/effects, explosions, etc.). The UP2.01 2D/3D plane smoke effects just gives me better FPS, though not quite as good looking. I read to get the old high altitude 2D contrails back the deletion of an .eff was all that was needed. Could the same be right for this? Thank you for the great mod, and for any help.

disable the whole " Aircraft " folder by placing a minus sign in front of it ( -Aircraft )   8)

Thanks for the speedy reply HolyGrail. I was at work so I'm just now getting to try what you advised. Sadly, something is still overwriting some of the UP2.01 plane smoke. There's only black heavy damage smoke and thin white smoke in UP when I "-" the Aircraft folder. Without the Uranium mod (disabled completely that is), there's more variations on the UP plane smoke. Which is of course what I'm trying to keep. Could there be something else outside the Aircraft folder? I've tried changing and deleting certain .effs and MAT files, but I'm just not coming up with a fix using my Spray and Prey method to modding. Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Uranium have more various aircraft damage smokes and interaction because of edited class files to fit more historic reality  8) 
Anyway , you have to open JSGME application and selecting and loading 00_EFFECTS_Low mod first and then inside Uranium mod disabling the whole " Aircraft " folder by placing a minus sign in front of it
( -Aircraft ) and then with JSGME loading Uranium mod after that 00_EFFECTS_Low mod .

I've tried it with stock UP effects, low UP effects, using jsgme, not using jsgme (MODS folder), and other combinations. No dice though. Still only two types of smoke when I try to splice UP with Uranium (-Aircraft). I'm thinking it wasn't meant to be. Thanks for your help though. By any chance are you guys making a 'Lighter' version of your new Plutonium mod?

have no idea , never flew HSFX 4.1 and don't know if it is included with
bombay door mod or not .
Someone else will have to jump in here and giving us an answer to this  :)
UP2.1 and some earlier version have bomb bay door mod as default and
Uranium mod is included inside JSGME for selection and it is compatible .

I guess I have the bomb bay door mod. I had to map a key to get the doors to open (power 10, I think). I'll just go ahead and try an install. I'll let you know what happens..

Its compatible with HSFX 4.1. just i have a problem that when i toggle wingtip smoke i get a game freez.

Firstly, this isn't the most current version; the plutonium is, so search for that instead.

Are you using one of the mod packs?

Welcome to the madness AJ94CAP  8)

if you're using any of the version of UP 2.0 and newer , Uranium mod is included with these
versions by selecting via JSGME mod selector , it's there available as an effects option .
If you don't have UP 2.0 or newer version and running other different game version then
download Uranium effects mod version which is not compatible with bomb bay door mod .
If you will use separated bomb bay door mod then you will need Uranium version which is
compatible with Bomb Bay door mod  :)
One or the another , it's your choice .
Just like Philip.ed have said , there is brand new Plutonium version available  8)
