Milan try to enable this in Jsgme #DBW_6dofTrackIR_ClassFiles my game also crashes to 95% if I don't enable this

It works !!! Thank you Hangman, I would never have thought about this, as I don't have Track IR ! Strange, that the game is dependent of a mod...

definitely sounds like a problem on your end, btasm.
in all my time on this site, i have never encountered anyone with such a problem.
trying to think of a good suggestion for you, but it's really difficult to think what could cause this -
have you tried a fresh install - stock 4.11, with UP  and DBW added after?
very often this will avoid any problems.

Thanks everyone, but I am at a loss. My settings.ini looks as if it should look with the letter keys matching the chosen commands. Yet I can't operate any command involving a keyboard letter. Arrows work, the F1-F12 keys work, number pad, space bar, etc. work - just not any letters. The joystick works.

I noticed that 1.7 does come with a controls_ru.properties file, but I doubt that has anything to do with this. However, this issue did arise immediately after installing 1.7. A half hour earlier, my 1.6 version was working flawlessly. Can't figure this out.

I will go through the process of first installing my back up Il-2 patched to 1.6 (from CDs) and maybe stick with that. I guess I may at some point create another install from the beginning, then try 1.7 again, but that's an awful lot of work.

OK, I redownloaded (other mirror), copied my clean DBW 1.6 and installed 1.7 over this copy, following the install instructions step by step...No way, still 95% freeze.

WTH is wrong with my installs ? Logfile still shows the same :
After all the float clamp things comes a line that says this :

No spawner for 'com.maddox.il2.objects.vehicles.planes.Plane$P_51A'


then comes this :

s = FlightModels/S-199.fmd

where s-199 is replaced by every plane that exists in DBW, and the logfile ends with this situation with the plane Me-262(ofNowotny). And I DID use instant log output mod.

I really dunno what other info I should give to help solving this, as apparantly no one else has this  ::)

Had the same problem, do not use your old #DBW folder, use a clean one, delete XTD and then enable your jsgme mods and start the game, I also had to replace the desktop icon on the desktop with the new exe, it would not overwrite the old one in the IL-2 folder.  But mine works fine now, had to re install the few planes I had in the old DBW, there were not many of course. 

Good job guys, loads fast and runs great.

If it could be helpful:

1) copied my IL2/DBW1.6 install in other partition
2) deactivated all jgsme mods
3) deselect DBW from IL2 Storebror Selector
4) installed DBW1.7 copying "file by file"
5) three hours to examine/amend Air.ini +Stationary.ini (which I use for my added ACs)
6) re.enabled DBW via selector
7) re.enabled some mods via jgsme (the same I0ve had in DBW1.6)
8) play with no crash
9) added one by one every mod I've had in #DBW (1.6)...all ok
10) can't run (as many have already stated) LGD mod...so it has been obliterated
11) DBW1.7 works fine without any issue!

Disabled my mods, installed as per instructions, the game runs smoothly, I am now enabling my mods. No problems with the Plutonium effects, but, sadly, problems with the gear damage mod. I shall continue my mod installation and report tomorrow. Great job gents (as always... 8))

Just thought I would add my two cents worth (and that is probably its true value) - I was successful at installing 1.7 using the instructions provided.  This, in itself, probably doesn't sound like much, except for the fact that I am old and not too smart.  Admitted, I don't have most of the mods you guys talk about so installation probably isn't as complicated.  But anyhow, I just wanted to say that I thank you fellers who do these mods.  You make it easy, even for those of us who might be "a little slow on the uptake".  Thanks again.

Fantastic job with DBW 1.7 but I have a little problem PAL 6DOF doesn't work at all and I have to enable #DBW_6dofTrackIR_ClassFiles or my game crashes at 95%

I had to have both the file in my mod folder and the selector set to the 6dof.. Works fine then.

How you can set the selector to the 6DOF I have no option like that

when you run the launcher, there's a radio button that says 6dof,,, I selected that and have the 6dof mod in the dbw folder... I tried it with and without that selected in the selector.. at first I figured you picked it in the selector and don't need the mod, and that didn't work, so I did it the other way, and that didn't work either.. had to do both or I just got lucky - not sure which!
