Re: Beta hotfix for carrier take-off
« Reply #217 on: February 14, 2012, 09:27:41 PM »

I'm also getting those carrier take-off issues in DBW 1.7. I was beta testing the AI mod that was included in DBW 1.7 and all was still OK for me with it. Thus, I compared the classfiles of that beta AI mod and DBW 1.7, and there were older versions of seven classfiles in DBW 1.7. I added those seven classfiles into my DBW 1.7, and planes started to take off well from carriers and thus the bug (and possibly some other bugs) is fixed. I attached a pack that includes those seven classfiles from beta AI mod that fix the issue for me.

So, if you have carrier take-off issues in DBW 1.7, then please test the attached fix by installing it into our #DBW folder like any other mod.

FYI - downloaded and installed the fix - works perfect on CV's and CVE's but not on the CVL's

OK im going insane. lol

Game works great but the game looks like the stock version with out any effects. It has  the smoke mod, but the surrpondings look like crap the water looks like crap the sky looks like crap i've adjusted the conf that did help. I have DBW enabled in the jsgme .

Seems like there is no amazing textures like HSFX.

for that, go to the DBW downloads and download windweapons addon packs 1.2.3 i think.
has exactly what you are looking for. effects and textures.
1.71 compatible.

All,

I am having a problem that I do not see posted here concerning DBW 1916.  I have seen the messages regarding trouble loading maps in 1916 but I don't think this is the same thing.  As you can see below, my in game map is cutoff:

I did originally have the 60% CTD when I ran DBW 1916 in DBW 1.7 but I found the reported fix up here posted by UP~Boomer and it seemed to fix my problem.  The game loads fine now, but with the smaller map shown above.

I have even created my own test mission in FMB and see the same results.  The FMB build screen is full screen but when I go to the play screen the map is reduced in size as in the mission when I play.

Anyone???

This is normal for DBW 1916. It has been explained before in another thread. It has something to do with a wide-screen resolution that is built in to DBW 1916 if I remember correctly.

have you disabled all the UP3 stuff in JSGME?
when trying to use DBW, is the game crashing at 95%?
what errors do you see? :)
