...obviously,i disabled all UP3 stuff in JSGME,in my case the game doesn't crash at 95%,when i start the game from selector,the selector window briefly disappear and reappear again,i've tried memory 512,256,128,expert and non espert mode and,i tried "stock game" with the same results,the game only works in UP3RC4 mode.In my opinion there is a problem regarding new memory managing,because my old DBW1.6 copy worked fine..

Hers a fix for the map frame,it removes all the wasted space and the map frame itself in DBW 1916,
leaving just the actual map only

..uuuhmm..it seem that i solved the problem,now i install on a working 4.101/UP3RC4,DBW from 1.1 to 1.71 (Checking at any update!!!) but when i patched to 1,71 the problem was still here,but in a slight different manner,the game launches go to the main screen,but the mouse was locked and after about 10-15 seconds the game CTD,i've enabled those DBW Cirx POV,Forgotten countries full,FX_Small collection,and mission pro combo,but the problem was still here,then i try to enable 6doftrackir_classfiles,because i have "newview" software that emulate a trackir and....all seems work!!!

As this is a help-thread, it's perhaps not the right place to post this. However, I just wanted to thank everyone involved in creating DBW 1.7/1.71. I just installed it and so far, everything works fine.  :)

Hi,
Is there another way to enhance the visibility or detail in DBW 1.71?
I have already selected the both options in game to max, but in UP 2.01 you could see the wake of the ships from a far distance! Even at close range, you get the impression in DBW, that the ships are stand still!

I can't get the small fonts 4 FMB in the jsgme to work. I can small fonts to work if I install the file from the DBW1.5 thread (at bottom) into the #DBW folder.
Edit: Please disregard, I found a "user" installed mod that used another instance of the STD folder. Apologies to all

Re-Modding the 1.7.1 Superpack.
My old DBW 1.5 was giving me some trouble with carrier operations, so I used the Superpack to give me a "clean" 1.7.1.
Everything seems to work well, but I dread the idea of installing all my mods, one by one. I have 18 aircraft, and a few ships that I've added, and quite a few mods.
What I was wondering, was if I could just add all my mod aircraft in my #DBW folder, from my #DBW folder in DBW1.5, and then use the com & i18n ini's from DBW1.5 to override the same files in 1.7.1?

I realize that I will probably have to go into my Air.ini file, and // out quite a few jets (that I never use), to get the game to not CTD.

Will this work, or am I missing something??

nope not a good idea.
such things are not good ideas at all, mixing and matching entire ini files.

Better to ask, than to just ram ahead.

I guess that I'll start with the Do-17, the TBD-1 and the 1942 version of the Lexington.

(I hope that somebody is working on a "real" cockpit for the TBD-1)

Fawless upgrade from my old install to DBW 1.71 (real easy ;))..and now want to check the F-4 Phantom II for the fun of it.
Do I install the Jet Era 1.2 before that mod? I would assume: Yep..

Well I upgraded to DBW 1.7 no probs but noticed that the Me 410 D was missing. I added the text to the Air.ini file and got it back but now both X-4 missiles fire at the simultaneously instead of one at a time like the Ta-183 does. Tried adding the Original Me410 mod but it made no differerence. Searched the site but found nothing on this. Any ideas or is it just me?  :(
