If you look a 3-views of some of the ugly bombers on this thread, they're actually not that bad looking when seen from the top. It's only the side view that's ugly.

Whats size go to with it and payload? Oh no, not the pony again! YAWN.  The Ju-86 is certainately not the most beautiful of craft but it isn't unattractive.  Still beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Performance wasn't much but the later high attitude recon P and R was impressive (but I agree that is ulgy but their are worst, much worst) I have to agree with juanmalapuente, Blumax, Champi efficiency is nothing to do with it. Did someone mentioned the Mustang lol

I dont think the Ju86 is that ugly, but also i can't say is the most beautifull plane i ever saw. It's indeed more good looking than the LACAB GR.8 doriphore:

Don't think the a/c in the bottom photo is ugly. Slender fuselage, nice nose, engine nacelles are large but have a good profile. Large wheel spats but they are for large wheels. Could you let me know what it is?
