Redspade, I think your SR.A/1 candidate is absolutely gorgeous. It kinda reminds me of my old dog Lucky in my avatar. I guess ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

 Catahoulak,   NOOOOO!  Your dog Lucky is gorgeous!  I love Bull Terriers!  It is my favorite breed.

That Saunders-Roe does have that "form follows function" thing going.  It has that fish-like look and with the need to keep the jet engines away from the sea water spray, probably accounts for most of the design.  But now that I see Wildchild's "Frigate of Wings" candidate, the Saunders-Roe doesn't look quite so bad!

I must admit, I am proud to have such cool "Frankeplanes" in our IL2+mods game. They are so beautiful compared to
some of those real life Frankenplanes.
