Indeed, jeanba... but we must admit: many (ok, the majority) of those old french designs are very awkward!!! For example, the Dyle et bacalan DB-70...
The 3 enginned first prototype:


The 4 engined second prototipe... notice the engine arrangements on the wings, using 2 engines of different kinds on each wing:


Looks like someone tried to cross a P38 with a TB3, lol

WHAT?!  Now I know how yall felt when I said the he177 was shaped like a toilet paper tube...  I personally think the Fortress was the most beautiful plane in the air.

Well.... if you want an American ugly bomber, I think the B-18 Bolo is a serious candidate... quite ugly !

But I still think the British Armstrong Whitworth Whitley is a very ugly plane...
