Link to main download disabled, As I wrote in 1st page,

!! NOTE !!:
Back when I first built Yamato my goal was to learn to do 3d for il2 and to fill a gap for our squadron. Initially it was not my intention to realease the ship to public.
Now after having the Iowa mostly complete I feel Yamato is not given credit by the model. At best it's simply mediocre compared to the work I put in Iowa.

So I decide now to get back to it not to just fill a gap simply this time but to give you sth all will enjoy. I'll do a complete scratchbuild for v2.
Sorry if anyone felt this model was not adequate, I hope you will find my new work better.
Btw if someone wants to have this even though a new version is in the works, I'll provide link by pm.

Thank you.

Later will be official way released professional model of Yamato by DT.
Better try build something other model for Japanese navy, destoyer or cruiser due duplicate work. Or something for kriegsmarine, any heavy cruiser.

I guess it is duplicate work.
But I will do it no matter what.

When I start  sth I want to take it as far as I can. My skill and knoweledge of the game things is much better now than when I started this.
I will finish the Yamato, if by that time TD version is already out, I'll simply be happy about it. Just happy I covered the gap till the release in this case ;)

I don't do this because I don't like TD version , let me get sth straight if the model you guys have is as good as it is in the pics and you also lift some limitations( like hier.him size) your Yamato will definatelly be the step ahead.

But that does not stop from wanting to do sth I started a while ago better.

Not good from organisation perspective but I need to do it for myself.

Ok after thinking a bit of Magot's message I put up the old link in first post.
If TD is in the process of adding a final model for Yamato ingame I guess me working on one too ( at least for releasing purposes) is wasted energy and if you are an engineer you know wasted energy is not good.

So sry gents but this ship here will serve you as an adequate Yamato till TD release it in it's full glory

I think it's a great piece of work, no matter what.   There is nothing is this game that is perfection, but all are functional.   I think for a first time stab at modeling you did a super job.   I put the BB to the test against the Tirpitz and Bismark, score, Yamato 2 and 0.

That should not happen since I used both ships on same install for quite some time.
Let me try install them both tomorrow and come back to you on this.

I have used your Yamato and I have no complaints. It's a nice piece of work but if you are going to do a better one I am even happier. Then will you do us a lovely heavy cruiser? Takao class or Myoko class would be fine.

To answer.
1) No I'm not going to post updates on this ship. 1C have a very nice looking Yamato of their own which is being worked as we speak and they have much more time than me to work with it, also they can lift some of the hier restrictions so in the end it's only fair to assume their Yamato will be a better ship. Both in looks and in parts like having all guns with damage mehses( sth I am restricted not to do)
Only thing I might do in future, provided TD has no objection with it will be to create a mod of a really detailed 3d damage model for their Yamato, without touching the basic model and damaged meshes with killed as opposed to "charcoal" sailors. If they allow it, I repeat.

2) I don't have enough time. Therefore any attempt to build a cruiser right now with that reduced time will only end up "damaging" the cruiser as it will become of very poor quality.
I'm not ready to post a "bad" ship. Sorry.
