Well monty, I'm afraid I lied in PM to you.
I finished adding all the ini's last night, and after the arduous task I was able to fire up the first mission without issue!
Sadly it ended with me in a fireball in the middle of a german fuel convoy...don't like these "can openers"
But the detail is astounding. I cant imagine the work you put into the airbases and the intro video was something else! Haven't ever seen it done that way, and its wonderful.
Kudo's to you sir! here's to more aircraft and bigger battles in your campaigns to come!
Ironically, and largely thanks to you, me and 78thFG_WindWpn, we now have an EASY way to add everything in one go. For me that has been the greatest achievement here, I hope people like this scenery and all things racing around on it, the airbases and various defensive 'boxes' are all represented.
Air cover is often provided at the early stages, to give you a chance to strafe stuff and concentrate on flying smooth and staying out of the scenery. The missions are all do-able but will bite you really quick, ground fire, spinning the heavy Hurris low down, lose it for a second and whammo!
As you get used to it though, the pressure builds with each mission, air cover becomes busy elswhere, enemy numbers increase in the air and on the ground so that you end up hitting ground targets before dogfighting with the heavy Hurris, not ideal. Later in the P40, you know damn well the Bf109 is a superior steed. Even with Spits in the closing stages the enemy have FW190s! Or how about flying a Stinson alone through a pack of Italian fighters who are targetted on you and set to 'Veteran' level? Done it, you will too!
