Recommend resetting the inis to default DBW 1.7.1 (or for the inis specific to this campaign, DBW 1.7), and then using the #DBW_MOD_Static_DAF download/pack.  It includes everything from both the mods and related ini entries.  Simply save the pack into jsgmemods folder and then enable.

Before the pack was available, I used Monty27's ini's with the separate mods.  Then I tried Winmerge, and then I did it all manually.  Then the pack was available, and I tried that.  30% ctd.

It cost me one and a half day to get the campaign + addons installed right but it is well worth it.

Very good campaign!

All kinds of vehicles driving around on the airfield; while taking off crashing into a P40 with guiding soldier on left wing taxiing in the middle of the runway...

I fined the pilot.

Anyway, very entertaining and gripping.

Thank you!!

The addon pack is the way to go but you need to start with a Vanilla DBW1.71 - Its a good concept, keeps everyone honest.  I also tripped up at first using the pack, many crashes.  So I took out all my addon aircraft from (#DBW folder) around 30!  With a Vanilla install, added the pack and everything was fine.  I don't know which aircraft was messing it up because I went back and put them all in again, testing one by one, got 'em all back!  Don't know what it was, but the pack needed me to start with a clean install.

Fortunately addon planes are easy to add and easy to remove - just keep a separate list and remain able to hangar them if necessary.  The great benefit for everyone is that this system keeps your install clean and is very well tested across a common platform.  I have a lot of confidence in it.  Even though I already had the mods installed I actually took everything out in order to test this (shaking my head as I did it) and it works beautifully.

This should also present CirX with fewer headaches, if we can refrain from mucking about with the basic install too much it will be easier to continue the update progression.  At the same time we can all try out loads of new mods in campaigns, which is the idea of DBW after all.

Nice screens mate, looks busy!  Its great that you guys are enjoying the scenery too, I'm looking forward to the first shot of the Alamein box, or if anyone manages to escape from Tobruk once the 27th Panzerarmee start shelling while you are still on the runway.

I see you found a convoy that has pulled over because one of the trucks has a boiling radiator, you can see it on the far right, your appearance was their worst nightmare...

The second and third shots capture Kristorf's Can-Opener skins, authentic No.6 Squadron markings and weathering, gorgeous!

Love the last shot of take-off at Gambut, northwest airfield by the No.274 scrim nets, there goes that P40 past you, with the crewman sitting on the wing, on his way over to maintenance north field.  Like pierre1946 says, I'd let him go first!

As mentioned in the briefings, stay high when spotting for targets, don't hang around when you see those harmless looking flak puffs either, those 88s are good!  A spiral approach will defeat ground gunners though, once they start firing at you, nose down, throttle back and bank turn, line up, fire, full throttle, keep banking on the climbout.  A nice spiral swoop in and out will keep 'em guessing every time.

That's for spotting traffic, for strikes on known locations go in on the deck to avoid the 88s then pull a pop-up attack, blast everything (you do this in rocket armed Hurris too, later on), then back on the deck for egress.

Trouble is I have let nobody off the hook this time regarding enemy fighters, they are usually there, you never know, you have cover, sometimes.  At other times, you are the cover, all bets are off!

OK so I went and removed everything, and got the game to load!  And I saw the guy sitting on the P-40 wing in mission 1, so I guess that everything's working, yes?  But then I have a question about that mod pack:  the folder titles start with a "_"; doesn't that make them get not read?

And while I'm asking, for at least the Hurricanes and Spits that I can recall, when I hit my joystick button to lower flaps, they go from up to full-down landing - 2 settings, that's it, no in-between.  But if I let the autopilot start up, it gets a take-off setting.  What gives?

Oh - of course, thanks for the campaign, Monty ( and Epervier and 78thFG_WindWpn)!

And now, after being happy with a working campaign, in the 7th mission the Hurri explodes on the rwy, wreckage falls out of the sky and 2 parachutes float gently down.....

I know this is a known symptom but can't remember the antidote.

Monty? Help?

Sometimes it helps to open the faulty mission in FMB, save it, and then having another go.

Nice work with the campaign, BTW! Impressive!

Thanks Poltava, much appreciated.  I've often wondered what would happen if we worked on a campaign together, with such a similar outlook, might be interesting!

I have just flown DAF07 again through the single missions section, it was all fine.  The Hurri-bombers start with a 500 pounder under each wing, as in the previous mission.  Have you tried testing in single mission mode and, if all is good, copying it into the campaign folder?  I just can't think what could cause it.

Poltava's suggestion is also good, try that.  Finally, are you flying with '#DBW_MissionPro Combo by PAL' disabled in JSGME as suggested in the manual?

I'll try that.

Thanks, Poltava!
