IL-2 opening canopy?

Im not sure if this was ever made so i'll just go ahead and ask it (forgive me if i didnt search deep enough.)

As im sure most of you know the Ilyushin IL-2 has a very restricted canopy in terms of view and makes finding targets difficult at times.

I've seen a lot of opening canopy mods in the cockpit mods forum but none for the Il-2 (which i found odd considering the game is named after this plane.)

If any talented modders had time to spare i would really appreciate this mod.

actually, the IL-2 is probably one of the least modded planes in the sim...perhaps it's considered too 'sacred' to mess with, lol.
but yes, it'd be nice to have an opening canopy for it. ;)
