Yep, you read right. I remembered a quick skin I made time ago, and so people seems so interested on the era here is a quick research for Poland on 1939 with that early pattern.
As said on early 109's, some ZG and LG on September 1939 were not provided yet with new Bf-110 type, so they used "old" Doras, but some of them have it of course. There she is an example based in eastern Prussia on September 1939, you get there a no markings skins and an uncoded sample but with old style markings.
Of course, and going on my personal fight against unreal colour patterns and urban legends about them on WWII
they are painted on real RLM 70/71/65 pattern (well, the best I can do inside Il-2). Try it over forests... it's quite a good camouflage over them as it was intended
.
Credits to =KAG= Bersrk, Cat the Slayer and Cpt. Farrel for a great template.
Anyway, take it as is, I did not a great work on it, so template was good enough, some touches here and there, colour change, markings, some layer tuning and that's all. I'm not very happy with some points, like spinners, but that goes with the 110 model.
