What's the trick to make runway lights work? Simple test - Berlin Map - placed blue runway lights down the middle, assigned each to Blue, set time for 3AM, tried to land asking for runway lights to be turned on and nothing. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Been at this for hours with no joy. Edit:(Sorry - I'm running latest DBW)

Thanks.

I don't have the answer, but I've experienced this issue on several maps and/or airfields - generally new maps, not the "stock" maps. It seems to be airfield-dependent. Lights - any lights - don't seem to work on certain airfields when commanded to do so. It's not the blue lights that come with this mod but it's a broader issue. At least that's my experience so far.

Thanks btasm. Makes you wonder why time was invested in making this thing anyway.

Is this mod compatible with UltraSpain? When I've attempted to install, I get a 70 per cent crash.

Runway lights not being turned on at some airports, at some times, on some maps, is one of the AFAIK as yet unresolved mysteries of Il-2.  :(
There could of course always be potential conflicts with a mod like this, but the bug mentioned above is unrelated to the Realistic Airfield Lighting mod. Just run a search for "runway lights" on the forum and you will find what I mean.

@Btasm: I am sorry but I have never heard of "UltraSpain".  :-[

It's a Spanish Civil War mod found here in the main aircraft section.

I added this to my 4.12 ModAct 5.3 but only the signal flare because there were already smokes with numbers 16, 17,  18 and so on. I didnt want to mess up the original smokes until I can find out how to have both but if you put in the mod and only add the signal flare entry to the stationary.ini it works.

That flare would be good for someone going on a 'dawn patrol' on the Western Front, or on a 'hunt the Zeppelin' mission at night so they can find their airfield.

runway lighting place them out of the ground a little.-  F4 + left mouse key to raise- Also I have been finding the different lights ie: light type 1 2 3 & 4 will act differently depending on map. and time for that map.. and not wanting to teach those that know how to suck eggs, but for those that don't, usually one must ally the light to your colour and ally to none on the odd occasion will work as well.
hope this helps anybody.
