NEW Release :WINGFLYR FLAK_Gun TOWERS

All Fixed Now works with DBW 1.6 to 1.71.reg modding

NOT YET WITH 78thFG_windwpn DBW MOD Static DAF.
MY confusion between 1.71 reg mod and 78thFG_windwpn vanilla 1.71 easy install version, was on my part and my apologies.

 
Raised Flak gun on Towers, raised radar, and more detailed stock searchlights,all with their own dead meshes.

NOTE;
Designed to work with DBW 1.6 and latest DBW 1.71.
The upgraded HSFX will be out soon and will be added to that one. RL take lot of my time, but when I get the time, I try do the best with it.



Sorry it took so long, but here are some fun goodies you may like, Im glad to share them with you.I had them for a while on my system game (stock no new classfiles) and work great with no problems.( Doh!! now that I said that, LMAO)

Anyhow long story short, reason for the delay,I had to create new slots by creating new java classfiles. I had to learn how to do it with the guidance of two great modders Asheshouse and Charlie Chap. But I did it, and helps me to share more of my ideas with you folks.


ok enough baballing.   

The package includes;
 
Jsgmemods folder - with mod Classfiles and supplied STD
                   
Mission folder   - with Two pre setup missions for plug and play to test if everything ok


#DBW folder 

Avi movie clip    - Step by step for (Full Mission Builder) how to set-up Flak Towers
Read Me text        - very important Technic ini. and Stationary ini. entries   
located in
#DBW folder   







If you follow my intructions step by step you will be alright.

A)Extract the zip onto your desktop  then drop the 3 folders into your main game folder. If it asks to copy over, yes.

B)B) Activate Mod via Jsgmemods start game

C)To do a quick test go to FMB File Load then load one of the flak test missions. If works your done. 

OPTIONAL if you prefer your own upgraded ini files
 
D) read the ReadMe text to enter the 3 entries for  Static ini.
Technics.ini and Stationary.ini in YOUR STD folder Path 1.71\#DBW\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects

E) copy and paste into mod folder



Hope you like them and enjoy using them,if you dont thats ok too, I enjoyed doing them.

Great towers Wingflyer. Just a few points on the downloaded files.

1. There is no need to add the STD and XTD folders from your #DBW folder as they have nothing to do with the Flak Towers. The class file 'F64DC742BF7E114C' in the XTD folder is already in the 'Wflyr_FlakTower' folder.

2. If you drop it in jsgme and then alter the stationary.ini then if you ever disable it in jsgme then the game will crash with an ini error.

3.So the 'Wflyr_FlakTower' folder deep within the jsgme folder should be dropped straight into the game #DBW folder and the inis altered as stated

Hi, I have followed redfox's suggestion, and I can see and use the tower and the new searchlights, but I can't see or place the guns or the radar (selector box remains empty). I have placed them in my #SAS# folder in my SAS ModAct3.6, where I have all Boomer's objects and copied all relevant lines to my technics.ini, stationary.ini and static.ini accordingly...

What version are you using- only for lastest BDW 1.71 as stated above with pasted requirements below.
Did you back up the foders I mentioned, If you did, then replace XTD with the original backup one.
You probably have but did you enter entries in technics and stationary

Redfox is correct I XTD should stay original.
the STD is just an extra HUD mod I made a long long time ago, upto you if you want to place it in or not.



Quick Install Guide For DBW Build 1.7

~ Working copy of IL2 1946 v 4.101, with UP3, and any UP3 hotfixes and updates, installed and working (at least up to UP3 RC4 or later)with

Can only assume that the classfiles are peculiar to DBW1.7 cgagan. I take it the test missions don't work for you...

Nice! And I find it very clever, mixing buildings/objects and artillery/objects... One could do modular and generic bunkers with artillery/MG/AA this way.

THX a lot Wingflyer, I am going to put 4 of these exquisite Flak towers on each and every Tunisia base so that me and my comrades can get some sleep at night, thus we can at least get rid of those terrible African mosquitoes ..!!  :D
